Remedial Measures Suggested By A Diagnosis Of The Eighth Grade Tests In Warren County Schools, Carl Chaney
Remedial Measures Suggested By A Diagnosis Of The Eighth Grade Tests In Warren County Schools, Carl Chaney
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
It is the prime motive of this study to present an unbiased picture of the achievement of eighth grade pupils in the public schools of Warren County, Kentucky, for the years 1934 and 1935 and to recommend remedial measures for teaching in these schools. The data used have been treated with a strict regard for statistical procedure so that no prejudice on the part of the writer might influence the results.
A Comparison Of Teachers' Marks In One-Room & Two-Room Schools With Those In The Seventh, Eighth & Ninth Grades In Larger Schools, Orbrie Morris
A Comparison Of Teachers' Marks In One-Room & Two-Room Schools With Those In The Seventh, Eighth & Ninth Grades In Larger Schools, Orbrie Morris
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
In this study the records examined showed that the per capita cost of instruction in the one-room and the two-room schools varied from three to six times that of the larger schools. The one-room school is the most expensive means of education, yet it offers far fewer advantages and opportunities. The decline in the number of these schools has been in progress for a number of years. This has been true in the rural sections that have a larger number of improved roads. The lack of sufficient roads has seemed to be the greatest obstacle in the consolidation of schools. …

The Kentucky Novels Of James Lane Allen, Hessie Brister Ivey
The Kentucky Novels Of James Lane Allen, Hessie Brister Ivey
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
Kentucky, following in the footsteps of her parent state, Virginia, has given to America some of her most distinguished statesmen. She gave to the Confederacy its only president, Jefferson Davis, and to the Federal Union its war president, Abraham Lincoln. Housed in a noble pile of imperishable granite, on its exact original site, near Hodgenville, the humble log cabin in which Lincoln was born is now preserved as a national shrine. At Fairview a towering obelisk marks the birthplace of Jefferson Davis.
These two statesmen were born, one year between them, of the same pioneering stock. One moved north of …

Typewriting, Shorthand, Business Correspondence, & Office Training In Secondary Schools & The Need For Correlation, Fannie Harrington
Typewriting, Shorthand, Business Correspondence, & Office Training In Secondary Schools & The Need For Correlation, Fannie Harrington
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
It is the purpose of this thesis to show the need for correlation of these subjects because they are so closely related. It may also bring about an awakening of commercial educators to the many things a typewriting teacher must teach and that other subjects are repetitions to a large degree of what the student has already been taught in typewriting.
