Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) encompass a spectrum of adversities that can impact mental and physical health in adulthood, particularly in Black women. Law enforcement agencies across the country are confronted with the problems associated with substance abuse. Law enforcement personnel receive only cursory training on substance abuse and lack targeted training that addresses the complex problems that are associated with it, such as co-existing mental health issues. This study, conducted on behalf of a state-wide Sheriff’s Association, identified officer beliefs and attitudes towards substance abuse to make training recommendations that are better tailored to officer’s training needs. African Americans make up 13.4% of the U.S. population but accounted for 18.2% of those infected and 20.9% of deaths, reflecting significantly higher rates of illness and mortality from the COVID-19 pandemic than their non-African American counterparts. Maternal bonding is known to involve tactile and proximal components that support the bonding process. In addition, mothers report that feelings of maternal competence and role identity develop by being able to predict and meet their child’s needs. However, research in this area does not consider how sensory processing disorder (SPD) in children affects maternal bonding experiences. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a global health concern and is the second global leading cause of mental illness that produces disability and disease. Individuals with multiple tattoos who exhibit MDD have not been adequately studied. Individuals with multiple tattoos who exhibit MDD may struggle because of psychosocial associations of the diagnosis. Seven women and three men, ages 18 to 65, participated in this qualitative, phenomenological study. Data obtained from the semistructured; audio-recorded confidential video call interviews were analyzed with Moustakas’ bracketing method. Sodium reduction therapies such as daily sodium monitoring, adhering to the American Heart Association (AHA) recommended sodium guidelines, and following the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet lowers blood pressure. Black males living in rural communities would benefit the most from sodium reduction therapies since they experience the highest rates of stroke and death from hypertension. The social distance scale developed by Bogardus decades ago, which allows us to measure levels of acceptance among members of diverse social, ethnic, or racial groups, has been widely used in different contexts. The objective of this study is to evaluate the social distance accepted by pro-vaccine and anti-vaccine groups. Following the principle of the Bogardus scale, a questionnaire was created regarding different degrees of closeness. Respondents also completed a scientific skills self-assessment. The National League for Nursing called for implementing innovative teaching strategies in nursing education. Concept-based teaching (CBT) is a method that encourages learners to interpret, analyze, and integrate knowledge. Despite reports that CBT improves student outcomes and enhances critical thinking, the adoption of CBT is slow. This qualitative descriptive study, guided by Rogers’s diffusion of innovations theory, explored how nurse educators have experienced implementing CBT. Correctional officers face significant mental health challenges due to the high-stress and often traumatic nature of their work environments. This qualitative study used the conservation of resources (COR) theory to underpin exploration of correctional officers’ perceptions of mental health care and psychological help-seeking within personal, organizational, and societal contexts. Homelessness and period (menstruation) poverty are recurring global phenomena. In the United States, approximately 220,000 women experience homelessness annually. Studies have shown that approximately 35% of individuals who menstruate experience period poverty while living in Baltimore, Maryland. The theoretical foundation was Wollstonecraft‘s theory of feminism. Mental health managers are concerned with turnover because it affects employees, mental health programs, and patients. Drawing upon self-determination theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to determine if employee trust in leadership and intrinsic motivation were correlated to and, thus, predict turnover intention within the mental health field in Northeast Florida. Data were collected from 100 current mental health managers in middle management and below in Northeast Florida through psychologically valid questionnaires.
