By 2050, 152 million people worldwide, primarily low-income populations, will have Alzheimer's disease (AD). African American (AA) women informal caregivers are primary caregivers in low-income neighborhoods, and they suffer from burnout and poor health, including physical and mental fatigue, despair, anxiety, hypertension, and stressors that can lead to heart attacks, strokes, or premature mortality. The Informal Caregiver Integrative Model (ICIM) theoretical framework was used to survey 120 participants using SurveyMonkey was administered to collect data for this cross-sectional quantitative study. Many African American adolescents live in disadvantaged neighborhoods due to decades-long segregationist housing policies. Living in these settings have isolated them from mainstream society and put them at risk for developmental issues and engagement in risky behaviors and violent crime as young adults. The purpose of this study was to examine past experiences of public housing beneficiaries exposed to concentrated poverty and their perceptions of how their neighborhood characteristics affect adolescent development. Excessive video game use among youth has been linked to communication problems within families and disrupted family dynamics, notably reducing time spent with family members and reinforcing withdrawal from family activities and other recreational pursuits. While quantitative research has addressed the connection between children’s excessive video gaming and its negative impact on family dynamics, a deeper understanding of parents' perceptions remained needed. Research shows that some essential workers, such as healthcare workers, social workers, and first responders (including police officers, paramedics, and firefighters), are at greater risk for developing both short- and long-term mental health problems (Berger et al., 2012; Canady, 2022; Grey et al., 2020; Haugen et al., 2012; Mohamed et al., 2022; Petrie et al., 2018). Construction business leaders are concerned with failed change initiatives as they have the potential to affect profitability. Grounded in five-P theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore the strategies that some leaders in construction companies use to implement change initiatives successfully. Anxiety remains one of the most commonly diagnosed mental health disorders. Systemic barriers to mental health treatment persist. Research on anxiety is robust, although research on perceived anxiety disorder stigma is limited. Solutions are needed to address the overutilization of emergency departments (EDs) for ongoing and non-emergency conditions among uninsured Hispanic patients. The purpose of this review was to synthesize available evidence related to hospital utilization rates for non-emergency conditions and quality of health and to provide strategies for leaders to reduce ED utilization rates for uninsured Hispanics. An integrative review was conducted of existing literature published between 2020 and 2024. In some U.S. cities, feminine hygiene items are becoming inaccessible and unaffordable to women and girls due to unequal taxation of feminine hygiene products. This case study involved exploring experiences of a Shelby County, Tennessee nonprofit’s female volunteers and recipients who receive free feminine hygiene products. Nonprofit organizations (NPOs) face many challenges impacting their program implementation and mission accomplishment. CTL is a NPO operating in Maryland. Like many other NPOs, CTL faces an employee retention problem that affects its ability to complete its social activities and benefit the communities it serves. The practice-focused research question of this study was focused on developing strategies and methods to improve employee retention at CTL. This professional administrative study involved exploring strategies and methods to improve employee retention at CTL using a general qualitative method. Surviving a stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI) can bring about life changes and negatively impact future quality of life. Studies that focus specifically on men who suffer these injuries is limited. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore quality of life of middle-aged men who suffered an acute stroke or TBI. The transactional model of stress and coping and the social identity theory were theoretical frameworks. Common themes were established during data analysis.
