Systematic Postsynthetic Modification Of Nanoporous Organic Frameworks And Their Performance Evaluation For Selective Co2 Capture, Timur Islamoglu

Porous organic polymers (POPs) with high physicochemical stability have attracted significant attention from the scientific community as promising platforms for small gas separation adsorbents. Although POPs have amorphous morphology in general, with the help of organic chemistry toolbox, ultrahigh surface area materials can be synthesized. In particular, nitrogen-rich POPs have been studied intensively due to their enhanced framework-CO2 interactions. Postsynthetic modification (PSM) of POPs has been instrumental for incorporating different functional groups into the pores of POPs which would increase the CO2 capture properties. Investigating The Role Of The Nucleosome Remodeling Factor Ino80 In Development And Nurf In Anti-Tumor Immunity, Zeinab Abdallah Elsayed Ms

Understanding how an epigenetic regulator such as ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling complexes modulate processes such as development and/or immune response is essential for our comprehension of cell biology. Deletion of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factor INO80 is known to be embryonically lethal, however, the mechanism is not known. To identify roles for INO80 in mouse early development we generated Ino80 KO mice. Ino80 KO ESCs (Embryonic stem cells) were viable when maintained at ground state pluripotency but fail to differentiate in vitro and in vivo. Gene expression analysis of Ino80 KO early embryos by in situ hybridization showed elevated Bmp4 expression …

Autonomous Navigation With Obstacle Avoidance For Unmanned Aircraft Systems Using Milp, James A. Devens

Autonomous coordination among multiple aerial vehicles to ensure a collision free airspace is a critical aspect of today’s airspace. With the rise of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the military and commercial sectors, obstacle avoidance in a densely populated airspace is necessary. This thesis investigates finding optimal or near-optimal trajectories in real-time for aircraft in complex airspaces containing a large number of obstacles. The solution for the trajectories is described as a linear program subject to mixed integer constraints, known as a Mixed Integer Linear Program (MILP). Teachers’ Beliefs – Believing In Teaching Incarcerated Persons (English Version), Monika Schumacher
Journal of Prison Education and Reentry (2014-2023)
Abstract This article gives insight into a German as a foreign language course in a prison in the German speaking part of Switzerland. From the perspective of the teacher, the author reflects on beliefs and assumptions regarding professional issues which are carried into this specific learning setting and challenges these by contrasting them with anecdotal accounts. She advocates the view that rather than try and do away with beliefs teachers should believe in incarcerated person’s capability to learn and achieve.
