A Study Of The Administration Of Emergency Medical Services In San Joaquin County : Analysis And Recommendations, Roy Guity Nunez

This study examines the administration of emergency medical services (E.M.s.) in San Joaquin County. The analysis proposes to determine whether any serious inadequacies exist with the system as it is administered presently.
There were three major sources for this research. The legislations on E.M.S. (federal, state and local), and the writer's personal working participation (as a staff member of the San Joaquin Comprehensive Health Planning Association) in the development of plans in this substantive area, and as a "participant observant at the San Joaquin County General Hospital, (with the Social Services Department). Among the questions that drew attention were these. Are San Joaquin County's juvenile delinquents the sane as, or different than those found elsewhere? that happens to the youngster after the police refer him on into the corrections structure? The telephone industry in the United States today faces the task of meeting the needs for growth and technological improvement which our growing economy places before it. There is a constant need for growth capital, and a constant need for cooperation between company management and regulatory groups to see that the needs of the American public are adequately serves.

This study was undertaken in an attempt to present a current account of certain political aspects of California's struggle with the problem of alcoholic beverage control, with, emphasis on the work of members of the state legislature and others who, by their Intense interest in the subject, have been instrumental in the shaping of state policy. Statement of the problem: How does the program of safety education in California elementary schools meet the needs of youth as defined by selected authoritative criteria?
A sampling of 112 elementary schools of various grade combinations in thirty-four California counties furnished the basis for a questionnaire study. These schools fell within the average daily attendance range of 165 to 599. In addition to this the questionnaire was sent to twelve large city schools in various parts of the state, but in no case did the attendance figure go over seven hundred. The majority of the schools were in rural or …
