This article delves into the complex biographies of female suicide attackers in two different geopolitical settings: Sri Lanka and Russia. This article overviews the issue of drone threats to stadiums and public venues. It provides emergency managers and those defending this critical infrastructure with an overview, operational considerations, and a discussion of the technical implementation for defending these sites from drone threats through detection. The rising tensions in the Taiwan Strait, driven by China’s growing aggression, have prompted Taiwan to explore ways to bolster its defense and deterrence capabilities. Given that successful deterrence requires the involvement of both military and civilian sectors, the Taiwanese public’s threat perception—specifically, how they view China as a security threat—becomes crucial. This article examines changes in Taiwan’s public threat perception of China. It finds that while Taiwan’s public threat perception has increased since the late 2010s, this shift is more nuanced. The sensory nerves in the airways directly regulate critical defenses and indirectly regulate vital gas exchange. Airway function is largely controlled by the autonomic nervous system, and our understanding of its sensory regulation is directly connected to our ability to treat respiratory and cardiovascular pathologies. Airway sensory afferents are heterogeneous with respect to their electrophysiological properties, peptidergic capacity, and stimuli sensitivity, which at least in part dictate some of their various functions. Gene therapy presents a promising approach to restoring dopamine synthesis and alleviating PD symptoms. This study reviews and evaluates current gene therapy strategies, including the use of adeno-associated virus (AAV) and lentiviral vectors, as well as direct infusion of neurotrophic growth factors. It is implicated in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), the most prevalent form of lung cancer categorized by aggressive tumour progression and high metastatic potential. Existing machine learning research that examines factors influencing student’s academic achievement largely focuses on monolingual rather than multilingual students. To address this gap, we employ machine learning to analyze the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Kindergarten Class of 2010-11 (ECLS-K:2011) data of 3,542 nationally representative multilingual children from 970 U.S. schools, who were followed from kindergarten (Fall 2010) to 5th grade (Spring 2016).
