KIP Articles
The continuing study of the cavernicole and related endogean fauna of Mexico and Central America has resulted in the accumulation of considerable additional material of interest. This volume includes studies on a portion of the new and little-studied taxa collected in recent years. Among the many taxa described in this volume are fifty new species and subspecies of troglobite from Mexico. In addition, revisionary studies include additional cavernicole and endogean species from the United States, Central America, South America, and the West Indies.

Data Sets
The Bay Study Group was created by the City of Tampa in 1976 to monitor the effects of pollution abatement that occurred in Hillsborough Bay when the city’s wastewater treatment plant was upgraded from primary to advanced treatment in 1979. The Bay Study Group documented a remarkable restoration of water quality parameters and biological indicators in Hillsborough Bay from the mid 1980s until 2009, when it was disbanded. This zip Geodatabase file contains the photo point locations, aerial photos, and flight maps for the year 1986.

A Possible Hybrid Ladder-Backed X Downy Woodpecker In Central Texas, Charles W. Sexton
A Possible Hybrid Ladder-Backed X Downy Woodpecker In Central Texas, Charles W. Sexton
Bulletin of the Texas Ornithological Society
A small, unusually-plumaged woodpecker was observed in a residential area of Austin, Texas, in September 1982. The plumage pattern combined characteristics of both Downy and Ladder-backed woodpeckers. Although the hybrid origin of the Austin bird is suggested, no other hybrids between these species have been reported. I suggest why hybridization between these species might occur in central Texas, especially in an urban area.

Shorebird Migration At Arlington, Texas: 1977-1986, Robert L. Neill, Joseph F. Kuban
Bulletin of the Texas Ornithological Society
A study of shorebird migration was conducted at Arlington, Texas, from March, 1977 to November, 1986. Thirty species were recorded in the spring migration with 25 reported in the fall. Least Sandpipers were by far the most abundant shorebird in fall migration, followed by Lesser Y ellowlegs and Pectoral Sandpiper. Least Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper and Wilson's Phalarope were the most abundant shorebirds in the northward migration. Species that were definitely more common in spring migration included Wilson's Phalarope, Baird's Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper, Long-billed Dowitcher, Semipalmated Plover, Willet, Spotted Sandpiper, Black-bellied Plover, Dunlin and Ruddy Turnstone. The White-rumped Sandpiper, Hudsonian Godwit, …
