The Epic Gilgamesh: A Pedagogical Study., Della Vanhuss Sep 1998

The Epic Gilgamesh: A Pedagogical Study., Della Vanhuss

Theses and Dissertations

Legends began to surface about Gilgamesh some two hundred years after he reigned as King of Uruk. Of Gilgamesh little is known except what was found in the Sumerian King's List, five or six poems, and in the Gilgamesh Epic itself. Part one describes the background …

Personality And Practice Settings, Glen K. Teramoto Jan 1998

Personality And Practice Settings, Glen K. Teramoto

Physical Therapy Scholarly Projects

The field of physical therapy has had substantial growth this decade and is considered one of the best career choices. One reason for this growth is the implementation of physical therapy in new settings. Physical therapists are no longer restricted to the traditional hospitals and rehabilitation settings as choices. Today, physical therapists can choose to practice in more dynamic settings such as the public school system, sports acceleration and rehabilitation facilities, aqua-therapy, hippotherapy, and industrial facilities. The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a correlation between personality traits and the practice settings for the University of …

Bighorn Sheep (Ovis Canadensis) Ecology And Demography In The North Dakota Badlands, Jerry J. Feist

Theses and Dissertations

The bighorn sheep (Oyis canadensis califomiana) in the North Dakota Badlands were studied in an effort to obtain baseline ecological data and examine the effects of human disturbance (primarily oil development) on their ranges, habitat use, movements and reproductive performance. The study was conducted from May and April, 1992 and 1993, respectively, through December of each year. Additionally, the summer of 1994 was used to complete habitat classification in the field.

Eight bighorn ewes were captured by helicopter and net-gun in each of 2 primary study areas (one highly impacted by oil development and the other less impacted) and fitted …
