Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Various sensors play an important role in the monitoring and development of robotic technology. We present a contemporary statistical analysis method for evaluating datasets generated by robotic systems. Specifically, this data set originates from the physical structure of the robot and is acquired by a wireless temperature sensor. The data collection process spans a temporal period of 1 to 10 hours during the operational period of the robot. The collected data is subjected to a rigorous analysis using neutrosophic methodology. To facilitate this, a modern neutrosophic formula has been devised, drawing on definitions established within the field. To benchmark the …

Finding A Basic Feasible Solution For Neutrosophic Linear Programming Models: Case Studies, Analysis, And Improvements, Maissam Ahmad Jdid, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Since the inception of operations research, linear programming has received the attention of researchers in this field due to the many areas of its use. The focus was on the methods used to find the optimal solution for linear models. The direct simplex method, with its three basic stages, begins by writing the linear model in standard form and then finding a basic solution that is improved according to the simplex steps until We get the optimal solution, but we encounter many linear models that do not give us a basic solution after we put it in a standard form, …

There are a large number of text collections in Indonesia, related to wayang theme, cf Zoetmulder (1971). And the text collections do not consist only of wayang purwa but also variations of this theme, including wayang wahyu etc. In the mean time, a Japanese scholar Shoshichi Nagatomo proposed the concept of "Asian Logic" which differs from Western logic. In Western thought, things are often seen as black or white, good or bad. However, Asian logic embraces certain degree of ambiguity. Here, "good" characters can exhibit flaws, and "bad" characters can possess redeeming qualities; especially among Javanese people preference is given …

Plausible Photomolecular Effect And Microwave In Phase Transition Of Water As A New Dawn For Renewable Energy And Ensemble-Holistic Approach To Health Management, Victor Christianto, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2024

Plausible Photomolecular Effect And Microwave In Phase Transition Of Water As A New Dawn For Renewable Energy And Ensemble-Holistic Approach To Health Management, Victor Christianto, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Interaction among light and water molecules have baffled scientists for many decades, and even centuries. In this regards, photons in the visible spectrum, where bulk water normally doesn't absorb light, can surprisingly cleave off large water clusters from the water-vapor interface, according to a recent study by Tu and Chen (2023). This discovery, termed the "photomolecular effect," opens exciting possibilities for not only revolutionizing renewable energy but also paving the way for a more integrated-ensemble approach to health management (cf. Smarandache & Christianto, 2010; Tu & Chen, 2023; Tu et al., 2024). In a sense, other than with green or …

An Innovative Approach On Yao’S Three-Way Decision Model Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets For Medical Diagnosis, Wajid Ali, Tanzeela Shaheen, Iftikhar Ul Haq, Florentin Smarandache, Hamza Ghazanfar Toor, Faiza Asif

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

In the realm of medical diagnosis, intuitionistic fuzzy data serves as a valuable tool for representing information that is uncertain and imprecise. Nevertheless, decision-making based on this kind of knowledge can be quite challenging due to the inherent vagueness of the data. To address this issue, we employ power aggregation operators, which prove effective in combining several sources of data, such as expert thoughts and patient information. This allows for a more correct diagnosis; a particularly crucial aspect of medical practice where precise and timely diagnoses can significantly impact medication policy and patient results. In our research, we introduce a …

A New Mood’S Median Test For Imprecise Data, Abdulrahman Alaita, Muhammad Aslam, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2024

A New Mood’S Median Test For Imprecise Data, Abdulrahman Alaita, Muhammad Aslam, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

The existing Mood’s median test is a non-parametric test used to compare two or more sample data sets whether they are from the same population or not. There can be no application of this test to uncertain and indeterminate data. Therefore, it is necessary to find a generalization of this test that will enable us to apply it in uncertain environments. This study will present a new approach that utilizes neutrosophic statistics to apply Mood’s median test. The approach involves defining hypotheses, determining a decision rule, and performing the test in an uncertain environment. An evaluation of the performance of …

Row-Column Designs: A Novel Approach For Analyzing Imprecise And Uncertain Observations, Abdulrahman Alaita, Muhammad Aslam, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2024

Row-Column Designs: A Novel Approach For Analyzing Imprecise And Uncertain Observations, Abdulrahman Alaita, Muhammad Aslam, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Classical row-column designs cannot be applied when the underlying data set contains some imprecise, uncertain, or undetermined observations. In this paper, we discuss row-column design under a neutrosophic statistical framework. A significant contribution of our study is to propose a novel approach to analyzing row-column designs using neutrosophic data. This approach involves calculating the neutrosophic analysis of variance (NANOVA) table for the proposed design and using it to derive the FN -test in an uncertain environment. Two numerical examples have been used to assess the proposed design’s performance. Results from the study indicated that a row column design under …

Outer-Context Determinants On The Implementation Of School-Based Interventions For Lgbtq+ Adolescents, Daniel Shattuck, Cathleen E Willging, Jeffery Peterson, Mary M Ramos

Pediatrics Research and Scholarship

BACKGROUND: Schools are critical venues for supporting LGBTQ+ youth well-being. Implementing LGBTQ-supportive practices can decrease experiences of stigmatization, discrimination, and victimization that lead to adverse mental health outcomes like anxiety, depression, and suicidality. However, schools are also subject to a wide range of outer-context pressures that may influence their priorities and implementation of LGBTQ-supportive practices. We assessed the role of emergent outer-context determinants in the context of a 5-year cluster randomized controlled trial to study the implementation of LGBTQ-supportive evidence-informed practices (EIPs) in New Mexico high schools.

METHOD: Using an iterative coding approach, we analyzed qualitative data from annual interviews …
