Local-Neutrosophic Logic And Local-Neutrosophic Sets: Incorporating Locality With Applications, Florentin Smarandache, Takaaki Fujita

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

The study of uncertainty has been a significant area of research, with concepts such as fuzzy sets [87], fuzzy graphs [51], and neutrosophic sets [58] receiving extensive attention. In Neutrosophic Logic, indeterminacy often arises from real-world complexities. This paper explores the concept of locality as a key factor in determining indeterminacy, building upon the framework introduced by F. Smarandache in [73]. Locality refers to processes constrained within a specific region, where an object or system is directly influenced by its immediate surroundings. In contrast, nonlocality involves effects that transcend spatial or temporal boundaries, where changes in one location have direct …

Neutrosophic Twofold Superhyperalgebra And Anti Superhyperalgebra, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Neutrosophic Sets are conceptual frameworks designed to address uncertainty. A Neutrosophic TwoFold Algebra is a hybrid algebraic structure defined over a neutrosophic set, combining classical algebraic operations with neutrosophic components. Concepts such as Hyperalgebra and Superhyperalgebra extend classical Algebra using Power Sets and 𝑛-th powersets. Additionally, structures such as NeutroAlgebra and AntiAlgebra have been defined in recent y ears. This paper explores several related concepts, including TwoFold SuperhyperAlgebra and Anti SuperhyperAlgebra.

A Brief History Of Opioid-Use Disorder In The United States, Effect On Orthopaedics, And Current Management Options, William Curtis, Nicholas Newcomb, Eric S. Kruger, Christopher L. Shultz

Western Journal of Orthopaedics

Declared a public health emergency in 2017 and leading to 11 million years of life lost worldwide, the American opioid crisis has impacted millions of people, with up to 7 million experiencing opioid use disorder. In orthopaedic surgery, opioid analgesia has been associated with various complications, including infections, deep vein thrombosis, prolonged hospital stays, and overall inferior outcomes after surgical procedures. Orthopaedic surgeons commonly rely on opioids to provide postoperative analgesia and may frequently encounter patients with opioid use disorder. It is therefore essential that orthopaedic surgeons understand opioid use disorder, its effect on orthopaedic outcomes, and management of opioid …

Scar Tissue Adhesions, Neuromuscular Guarding, And Functional Recovery: A Case Report Of Physical Therapy Post-Cholecystectomy, Raeisa Griñe, Adam Walsh

Western Journal of Orthopaedics

Scar tissue from abdominal surgeries, such as cholecystectomy, can lead to long-term issues such as restricted movement, painful spasms, and impaired function. Laparoscopic adhesiolysis is a common surgical treatment for pathological scar tissue impairments. Conservative care, such as physical therapy, is a commonly used approach for managing pathological scar tissue. In this case, manual therapy techniques and targeted exercises successfully reduced the intensity and frequency of abdominal spasms, improved core strength and endurance, and enhanced overall functional mobility. These improvements were reflected in enhanced scores on the Lower Extremity Functional Scale and the Vancouver Scar Scale in a 59-year-old woman …

An Approach To Numerical Solutions For Refined Neutrosophic Differential Problems Of High-Orders, Ahmed Salem Heilat

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

The main goal of this paper is to studying a new numerical method for finding the refined neutrosophic numerical solutions to some refined neutrosophic differential problems of high orders. We use high-degrees refined neutrosophic polynomials to get the approximated solutions, where we apply our method on two different refined neutrosophic boundary value problems with numerical tables to compare the novel findings with classical ones.

Enhanced Madm Strategy With Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Distance Metrics, Mohamed Eassa, M. Myvizhi, Mohamed Elkholy, Ahmed Abdelhafeez, Hussam Elbehiery

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

In this work, a novel methodological approach to multi-attribute decision-making problems is developed and the notion of Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures (HNSDM) is introduced. By averaging the Penta-Partitioned Neutrosophic Distance Measures under particular conditional criteria, the suggested technique ranks the options. Additionally, we explore the fundamental characteristics of HNSDM and provide several illustrative theorems. The Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures are formulated based on the Hepta Neutrosophic Set. Lastly, a practical numerical example is provided to illustrate the efficacy of the suggested methodology.

On A Novel Topological Space Based On Partially Ordered Ring Of Weak Fuzzy Complex Numbers And Its Relation With The Partially Ordered Neutrosophic Ring Of Real Numbers, Raed Hatamleh

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This work is dedicated to studying for the first time a novel topological space generated by weak fuzzy complex intervals based on the partial ordered ring structure of weak fuzzy complex numbers, where we build a topology structure over these intervals. Also, we present many novel results as mathematical theorems, mathematical proofs, and many related examples. On the other hand, we use the AH-isometry to determine the relationship between the weak fuzzy complex intervals, and neutrosophic intervals.

Uncertain Labeling Graphs And Uncertain Graph Classes (With Survey For Various Uncertain Sets), Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Uncertain Labeling Graphs And Uncertain Graph Classes (With Survey For Various Uncertain Sets), Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Graph theory, a branch of mathematics, studies the relationships between entities using vertices and edges. Uncertain Graph Theory has emerged within this field to model the uncertainties present in real-world networks. Graph labeling involves assigning labels, typically integers, to the vertices or edges of a graph according to specific rules or constraints. This paper introduces the concept of the Turiyam Neutrosophic Labeling Graph, which extends the traditional graph framework by incorporating four membership values—truth, indeterminacy, falsity, and a liberal state—at each vertex and edge. This approach enables a more nuanced representation of complex relationships. Additionally, we discuss the Single-Valued Pentapartitioned …

Plithogenic Duplets And Plithogenic Triplets, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

A Neutrosophic Set is a mathematical framework that represents degrees of truth, indeterminacy, and falsehood to address uncertainty in membership values [41, 42]. In contrast, a Plithogenic Set extends this concept by incorporating attributes, their possible values, and the corresponding degrees of appurtenance and contradiction [50]. Among the related concepts of Neutrosophic Sets, Neutrosophic Duplets and Neutrosophic Triplets are well-known. This paper defines Plithogenic Duplets and Plithogenic Triplets as extensions of these concepts using the Plithogenic Set framework and briefly examines their relationship with existing concepts.

Beyond Dialectics, Paradoxes, And Binary Logic, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Beyond Dialectics, Paradoxes, And Binary Logic, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Philosophy, long defined by its pursuit of truth, has historically been a battleground for dichotomies: truth vs. falsehood, materialism vs. idealism, reason vs. emotion. These oppositions often provide a framework for understanding philosophical discourse, but they fail to capture the full nuances of reality. To challenge these binary oppositions, I introduced the neutrosophic perspective in philosophy, rooted in Mathematics, and Many-Valued Logics.1 By emphasizing the interrelation of affirmation, negation, and neutrality, neutrosophy allows for the reconciliation of seemingly irreconcilable viewpoints, providing a new lens through which to reinterpret age-old philosophical questions.

A New Simulation Framework For Analyzing Neutrosophic Data In Experimental Design, Muhammad Aslam, Nasrullah Khan, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

A recent simulation-based classical analysis has been developed for interval data. However, a review of the literature indicates that these existing simulations have notable limitations and fail to conform to the neutrosophic statistical framework. In this paper, we propose a novel simulation process designed to analyze neutrosophic data within an appropriate and rigorous neutrosophic framework. We demonstrate that the proposed simulation is more comprehensive and aligns closely with the principles of neutrosophic theory. The results will be obtained through simulation and compared with those of existing methods, with the expectation that the proposed approach provides substantial improvements and is better …

A Plausible Formal Correspondence Between Tetrahedral Condensates/Tsc And Pt-Symmetric Crystals Model Of Cmns (Aka. Low-Energy Nuclear Reactions), Victor Christianto, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

A Plausible Formal Correspondence Between Tetrahedral Condensates/Tsc And Pt-Symmetric Crystals Model Of Cmns (Aka. Low-Energy Nuclear Reactions), Victor Christianto, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Akito Takahashi's Tetrahedral Symmetric Condensate (TSC) model, detailed in several of his earlier works1 proposes a mechanism for condensed matter nuclear science (CMNS) aka. low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) within palladium lattices. The model centres on the formation of a tetrahedral cluster of deuterons, enhancing the probability of nuclear fusion. Here, we explore the possibility of extending this framework by considering the TSC within a more general crystalline solid with tetrahedral symmetry, and by approximating the screening potential experienced by the deuterons using PT-symmetric potentials.

When Emotions Flare: Solar Rhythms, Emotions And Cycles Of Political Revolution, Andreas Hernandez, Carolina Zilli Vieira, Alexandra Smith, Rebecca Olson

Geography and Environmental Studies Faculty Publications

Revolutions are among the most transformative events in human history. Analyzing 395 revolutionary episodes from 1900 to 2014, we find that major waves cluster around solar maxima - periods of intensified geomagnetic activity. Drawing on biomedical research linking geomagnetic disturbances to cardiovascular and stress regulation, and thus to emotional states, we propose that solar cycles modulate the affective ecologies within which revolutions arise. Solar activity may accelerate, shape, and amplify revolutionary cycles by heightening emotional climates and tipping fragile systems toward mass mobilization. This reframes revolutions as planetary events - entanglements of political conflict, embodied emotion, and cosmic …
