Reconsideration Of Neutrosophic Social Science And Neutrosophic Phenomenology With Non-Classical Logic, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit Fluidity is a concept rooted in psychology and phenomenology, offering significant insights into human decision-making and well-being. Similarly, in social analysis and social sciences, frameworks such as PDCA, DMAIC, SWOT, and OODA have been established to enable structured evaluation and effective p roblem-solving. Furthermore, in phenomenology and social sciences, various logical systems have been developed to address specific objectives and practical applications. This paper extends these concepts using the Neutrosophic theory, revisiting their mathematical definitions and exploring their properties. The Neutrosophic Set, an extension of the Fuzzy Set, is a highly flexible framework that has been widely studied in …

Sleep monitoring plays a crucial role in understanding and managing various health conditions, including sleep disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health. Traditional sleep monitoring methods rely on Electroencephalography (EEG) and Polysomnography (PSG) in clinical settings. However, these methods are expensive, difficult to administer, and unsuitable for home-based monitoring. In recent years, photoplethysmogram (PPG) has emerged as a promising noninvasive technology that is widely used in wearable devices and holds great potential for sleep assessment. Yet, most current sleep monitoring methods rely on deep learning models, which are inherently "black-box" and challenging in the clinical decision-making process. In this paper, we …

A Neutrosophic Approach To Social Phenomena, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Sociology has long sought to understand human societies and the social behaviors within them. It explores the organization, structure, dynamics, and transformations of society over time. However, traditional sociological methods face significant challenges in addressing the complexity and indeterminacy inherent in social data—data that is often ambiguous, incomplete, and contradictory. The Neutrosociology offers a novel approach to studying and modeling social phenomena by employing mathematical and philosophical tools that can accommodate uncertainty.

A Family Of Neutrosophic Estimators For Estimating Mean: An Application To Real Data, Bavita Singh, Abhishek Singh, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

In the realm of sample survey research, the classical statistics approach primarily deals with precise and definitive types of data to estimate population parameters when additional information is available. However, this approach fails when faced with data indeterminacies. To address such ambiguities, neutrosophic statistics emerges as an extension of both fuzzy and classical statistics. Thus, in light of the challenges posed by indeterminacy in sampling, we have introduced a proficient neutrosophic class of estimators, with and without Searls technique (optimization tool) for estimating the mean utilizing additional (ancillary) information under neutrosophic simple random sampling (NeSRS). The expression for the Bias …

Competition Super-Hypergraphs: Revealing Hierarchical Competition In Real-World Networks, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Competition Super-Hypergraphs: Revealing Hierarchical Competition In Real-World Networks, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Graph theory provides a powerful language for modeling pairwise connections through vertices and edges [9, 20]. Hypergraphs generalize this idea by permitting hyperedges that join any number of vertices simultaneously [7], while super-hypergraphs iterate the Power-set operation to capture multi-level, hierarchical relationships among hyperedges [40, 22]. A competition hypergraph associates each prey species with a hyperedge containing all its predators, thereby encoding multi-way competition in ecological networks. In this work, we introduce the competition super-hypergraph, which lifts the competition concept to higher tiers of aggregation. We present its formal definition, explore theoretical properties, and illustrate its practical use in real-world …

A Python Framework Enhancement For Neutrosophic Topologies, Giorgio Nordo, Saeid Jafari, Maikel Yelandi Leyva V Azquez

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This paper introduces an extension to the Python Neutrosophic Sets (PYNS) framework, originally detailed in [13], with the addition of the NSfamily class for constructing and manipulating neutrosophic topologies. Building on existing classes like NSuniverse and NSset, the NSfamily class enables the definition and testing of neutrosophic families as basis and sub-basis for neutrosophic topological spaces. This extension provides tools for verifying closure properties under union and intersection, and for determining whether a given family constitutes a neutrosophic topology. Through implemented algorithms, the framework automates the generation of topologies from families of neutrosophic sets, offering an efficient tool for advancing …

A Neutrosophic Fixed Charge Multi-Objective 4 Dimensional Multi-Item Transportation Problem With Carbon Emission And Budget Constraints, A.N. Revathi, S. Mohanaselvi

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This paper seeks to address 4-dimensional transportation challenges by integrating budget con straints, vehicle speed, carbon emissions, and optimizing for maximum profit and minimum time. The rising number of vehicles, varying road conditions, and diverse vehicle types used to meet daily needs have exacerbated issues like global warming and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Our goal is to reduce carbon emissions for a cleaner environment. Single-objective, single-item transportation systems are often insufficient for scenarios with multiple criteria. Thus, we adopt a multi-objective, multi-item decision-making approach to tackle real-life transportation problems. Practical challenges frequently involve uncertainties stemming from time pressures, insufficient data, …

Neutrosophic Circular-Arc Graphs And Proper Circular-Arc Graphs, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Neutrosophic Circular-Arc Graphs And Proper Circular-Arc Graphs, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

Graph theory is a fundamental branch of mathematics that studies networks made up of nodes (vertices) and connections (edges). A key concept in graph theory is the intersection graph, where vertices represent sets, and edges are drawn between vertices if their corresponding sets intersect. A circular-arc graph specifically models the intersections of arcs on a circle, with vertices corresponding to the arcs and edges existing between intersecting arcs. This paper delves into the study of circular-arc graphs within the frameworks of fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy, neutrosophic, and Turiyam Neutrosophic graphs, all of which incorporate uncertainty into graph structures. Additionally, we examine …

Enhancing Neutrosophic Data Analysis: A Review Of Neutrosophic Measures And Applications With Neutrostat, Zahid Khan, Katrina Lane Krebs

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

Neutrosophic statistical measures analyze data that is not fully determined, often due to imprecise observations. This type of data presents a major concern in neutrosophic statistics. The existing literature cat egorizes neutrosophic measures into two types: descriptive and inferential, aiming to broaden the categorization of statistics in these two major areas. Every statistical measure can be contextualized within the neutrosophic framework by acknowledging the inherent imprecision, vagueness, or not fully defined. In this study, the major focus is on reviewing existing neutrosophic measures rather than proposing new ones. The aim is to enhance current neutrosophic structures to make them more …
