I am pleased to release this 1995 Contract and Grant Awards report, which lists contract and grant (C&G) awards received by the University of New Mexico's (UNM) during fiscal year 1995 (i.e., July 1, 1994 - June 30, 1995), FY95. These awards represent new funds that were acquired during FY95 by the Main Campus and the Health Sciences Center (HSC). The HSC includes the School of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and Dental Programs. The C&G awards received for FY95 total $197M, of which $152M is attributed to the Main Campus. This study was designed to assess the performance of child sexual abuse investigators in conducting multi-use forensic interviews. The primary focus was on the job/performer level of analysis with a secondary focus on organizational and process issues.

Every year, thousands of innocent children endure the emotional and physical pain of sexual abuse. Thousands more find themselves at the mercy of skilled perpetrators who rob child victims of their innocence. Purpose The "Evaluation of the IHS Urban Health Business Office Concept," commonly called the Supplementary Security Income (SSI) Project, was a ten month grant demonstration project that was contracted to the American Indian Health Care Association (AIHCA) by the Indian Health Service (IHS) with cooperation of the Social Security Administration (SSA). The SSA was mandated to increase minority and target population enrollment for SSA benefits. The SSA provided funding to the IHS to oversee a project designed to locate and assist urban American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) in applying for SSI.

Between December 11 and 12, 1991, the Indian Health Service (IHS) sponsored a Roundtable Conference on dysfunctional behavior and its impact on American Indian (AI/AN) health. The meeting was oriented toward health policy rather than clinical. The panel consisted of professionals from family health, mental health, employment, counseling, substance abuse fields, clinicians, and academicians. The participants were provided data and a review of literature describing the human and financial costs to families affected by dysfunctional behavior of its members.
