Voting And Attitudes Along The Red Rural–Blue Urban Continuum, Kenneth M. Johnson, Dante Scala
Voting And Attitudes Along The Red Rural–Blue Urban Continuum, Kenneth M. Johnson, Dante Scala
Carsey Publications
Political commentary often divides the nation into two partisan zones, urban and rural, but new analysis demonstrates that the rural–urban gradient is a continuum, not a dichotomy. In this study of the 2018 congressional midterms, authors Kenneth Johnson and Dante Scala confirm their earlier analysis of the 2016 presidential election and demonstrate how voting patterns and political attitudes vary across the spectrum of urban and rural areas.

Stress From Election Eclipses Stress From Covid-19 In Nh 10/19/2020, Unh Survey Center
All UNH Survey Center Polls
Nearly one-quarter of New Hampshire residents report mental health symptoms consistent with anxiety while one in six report symptoms of depression. Granite Staters report considerably higher levels of stress concerning the 2020 election than the COVID-19 pandemic and Joe Biden supporters feel significantly higher levels of stress stemming from the election than Donald Trump supporters.

What Constitution Says About Peaceful Transfer Of Power, John M. Greabe
What Constitution Says About Peaceful Transfer Of Power, John M. Greabe
Law Faculty Scholarship
[excerpt] I recently was asked whether the Constitution requires a peaceful transfer of power following an election. Sadly, the questions is not merely theoretical. President Trump has stated that, if he loses the upcoming election, it will be through fraud. And he has made it clear that he will be unrestrained in his response to any efforts to oust him from office through an election he pronounces fraudulent.
The question of whether the Constitution requires a peaceful transfer of power prompts consideration of how we should conceptualize our Constitution. Is the Constitution merely the document that was written in 1787, …

However, only 40% of state residents say they would definitely or probably get a COVID-19 vaccine if it were currently available. Epic Electronic Medical Record System: An Online Outpatient Surgical Scheduling Improvement Plan, Nataly Estrada
Epic Electronic Medical Record System: An Online Outpatient Surgical Scheduling Improvement Plan, Nataly Estrada
M.S. in Health Care Management
This project aims to develop an outpatient surgical scheduling improvement plan for Atrius Health, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system. Presently, no consistent process exists for surgical schedulers to organize outpatient surgical appointments. Therefore, the project plan is to develop a system whereby all surgical cases are scheduled in Epic. The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) model for improvement provides a framework for the development, testing, and implementation of the scheduling improvement process. The goal of this quality improvement project is to add additional protection to patient information while improving the surgical specialties department, hospital admissions coordinators …
An Unwanted Halloween Treat, Ricky Fife
An Unwanted Halloween Treat, Ricky Fife
M. S. in Project Management
Everyone expects a sweet treat on Halloween, and we are no different. What we didn’t expect was a treat that left us with thousands of dollars in damages, and an unlivable part of our home. On Halloween 2019, our neighbors accidently drove their truck across the street, and directly into our property. Fortunately, the accident did not leave anyone injured or harmed, but what it did do was harm our existing plans for the property. This project is centered around this event, and the subsequent repairs, followed by the originally planned renovations. A high level of attention to detail, budgeting, …

Career Development Programs And Their Benefits To The Organization, Andrew Fryburg
Career Development Programs And Their Benefits To The Organization, Andrew Fryburg
M.S. in Leadership
The research gathered during this project provides evidence to answer the question; How can an effective Career Development Program (CDP) influence an organization’s outcomes and impact its employees? This is important to answer because if employees are not satisfied with their organization then it becomes difficult to retain employees. This effects the employee’s morale and in turn their productivity. The literature gathered focuses on how CDPs allow employees to have a more robust career, how they improve employee morale resulting in higher productivity, and lastly, how research shows that employees are more invested in their organization when that organization shows …
