Veterans are also disproportionately represented in rural areas across the U.S. As people with disabilities are also disproportionately represented in rural areas, it is valuable to explore the intersection between veteran status, disability, and rurality. This analysis uses publicly available date from the American Community Survey to examine service-connected disability rating status and the ACS-6 questions on functional ability as they related to U.S. regions and rurality.
