The University of Dayton's third and final diploma service for the 1966-67 school year will be held Sunday, July 30, with 395, including 92 graduate students, receiving their diplomas. The service will be held in the UD Fieldhouse at 2:15 p.m. The 395 graduates will bring to 1,719 the number of men and women who have received diplomas for the 1966-67 school year. Among the varied contributions made by B.F. Skinner in a long and distinguished career is the renascence of interest among educators in self-instructional devices issuing from the application of the principles of Skinnerian operant conditioning to human learning situations. Professor Skinner received the A.B. from Hamilton in 1926, the M.A. in 1930, and the Ph.D. in 1931 from Harvard. Between 1936 and 1945, he served as a member of the University of Minnesota faculty, becoming chairman of the department of psychology at Indiana University in 1945 and professor of psychology at Harvard in 1948. Ralph Barton Perry took his undergraduate work at Princeton and his graduate work at Harvard, where he was awarded the doctorate in the field of philosophy in 1899. During the first decade of the present century, he gained recognition as a leader of the New Realism, perhaps the most significant product of which was his "Ego-centric Predicament," published in the Journal of Philosophy in 1910.
