The Extent And Impact Of The Incorporation Of Employee Health Promotion Programs In The Central Florida Business Community, Thomas Berlin
Retrospective Theses and Dissertations
Employee health insurance premiums continue to rise exponentially despite stagnant inflation rates. The national trend in recent years has been to decrease benefit usage by attempting to establish a healthier workforce. The incorporation of employee health promotion programs either within, or outside of the worksite, is the favored means of providing a solution. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of employee health promotion program usage in Central Florida, and the economic impact, if any, of these programs. The basic research questions for this study are:

Spain As A Vacation Destination: Perceptions Of United States Residents, Ady Milman
Dick Pope Sr. Institute Publications
The purpose of the focus group sessions was to identify significant perceptions about Spain from Los Angeles residents who traveled to Spain and other foreign destinations. In particular, the discussions focused on the image of Spain as a vacation destination, their experiences there, motivation to travel to Spain, and exposure to promotion in the Los Angeles area. The methodology used was to start each discussion by introducing broad issues of vacation travel, traveling to foreign destinations, and incrementally narrow down to a full discussion about Spain as a vacation destination.

To understand Florida's position in the development of solar technologies it's necessary to visualize a bigger picture. Currently, the United States spends over $38 billion per year for crude oil and petroleum product imports, whereas appropriations for research and development on solar energy technology total less than $120 million per year.
Not only do we operate within a global economy, we also operate within a global environment. If the greenhouse effect and global climate change force nations to drastically reduce carbon dioxide emissions, there are very few alternatives to fossil fuels for power production. In a world of dwindling energy …

FSEC Energy Research Center®
The Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) is a research and education arm of the State University System hosted by the University of Central Florida. The Florida legislature established FSEC in 1974 to conduct research in alternative energy technologies, to ensure the quality of solar energy equipment sold in Florida, and to educate people about renewable energy technology. One method of disseminating research results has been through teacher education programs and the development of instructional materials. FSEC-developed materials are designed to teach science and social studies research methods and for process skills. All units are field-tested and correlated with student performance …
