The purpose of this qualitative, phenomenological Dissertation in Practice was to define the terms student-athletes and athlete-student by discovering any differences in non-cognitive variables between the two groups. Additionally, this study attempted to identify any differences in career transition expectations between student-athletes and athlete-students. Thirteen NCAA athletes from various universities across the United States were included. With the use of one-on-one semi structured interviews, five themes emerged. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to explore how elementary school teachers in a Florida public school district made sense of Florida’s House Bill 1467: K-12 Education (HB 1467) and how their interpretations shaped their reading and writing pedagogy. Guided by Karl Weick’s (1995) Sensemaking Theory as a theoretical lens for understanding these interpretations, the study examined how teachers navigated the complexities of policy implementation within the context of their daily classroom experiences. Chromatography is a powerful analytical technique that enables the separation of complex mixtures, allowing for the simultaneous analysis of multiple analytes—even at trace levels. This thesis explores how queer individuals reflect on the presence—or more often, the absence—of queer content in their high school education. Despite increasing visibility of LGBTQ+ people in popular culture and legal reform, formal educational spaces remain largely heteronormative and cisnormative structured from a heterosexual and cisgender standpoint. Through a critical qualitative approach, this study draws on semi-structured interviews with 13 queer participants who attended high school in Florida in the years between the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015 and the passage of Florida’s H.B. 1557 (“Don’t Say Gay” law) in 2022. While feedback is a corrective business in every sphere of human life, most students do not have a positive perception of teachers’ feedback. Previous studies have emphasized the relationship between students’ writing achievements and the effectiveness of teachers’ feedback. However, no substantial research on how teachers’ feedback affects students’ emotional well-being has been undertaken. This article examines the relationship between students’ understanding of their teachers’ feedback on their writing assignments and emotional wellbeing. The hotel industry in Thailand has benefited from an increase in tourism and a growth op- portunity from the free flow of trade and investment in the ASEAN region. This study inves- tigates the financial performance of hotel companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thai- land during the 2011–2022 period. The ABC classification was applied to categorize a sam- ple of hotels based on revenue. The financial performance of the classified hotels was then examined using comparative ratio analysis. M dwarfs, the most abundant stars in the galaxy, are prime targets in the search for habitable exoplanets. However, their high flare activity may compromise planetary atmospheres, with Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) increasing this risk. Despite this, the relationship between M dwarf flares and CMEs is not well understood. This study uses archival data from Evryscope North and South, crossmatched with Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and Gaia data, to investigate this relationship. Current therapy for arthritis predominantly focuses on the symptoms rather than the underlying causes of disease progression. Thus, it is necessary to identify novel drugs which target the underlying molecular basis of such diseases. Using high-throughput cell-based drug screening, we screened 458 different compounds, narrowed down from 811 starting compounds from the NIH Mechanistic Set. We selected drugs from the Mechanistic Set following Lipinski's Rule of 5 to ensure optimal pharmacokinetic properties. The study used modified primary human chondrocytes (IIAM-PRG4Luc), which secrete a lubricin promoter-driven luciferase reporter. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 29 peer-reviewed articles published in open access between 2014 and 2024 were selected to evaluate the status of safety culture dimensions employed in the petrochemical sector. This cross-sectional study assessed safety culture in the Saudi Arabian petrochemical industry and examined the relationships among safety culture dimensions, safety motivation (SM), and safety performance. River network (RN) structure has a significant impact on flux transport, aggregation and ecosystem connectivity. In this dissertation, the structural control of RN on flux transport was investigated by the application of integrated framework of dynamic clusters and network graph theory. This new framework has been proposed to determine sub-catchment connectivity using minimum and maximum flow criteria. Our analysis on synthetic and natural RNs across United States demonstrates that basin scale connectivity at low flow conditions is efficiently governed by the abundance of side branching junctions whereas this characteristic slows down the flux convergence rate at maximum flow condition.

The White Marl site represents the largest known Taíno settlement and archaeological site in Jamaica. Road construction in the eighteenth century first disturbed the site, followed by further damage during Mandela Highway construction in the 1940s. The site now faces renewed threats from a proposed highway expansion that has divided it into two zones. Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have evolved from brittle rule-based engines through data-driven statistical models to today’s transformer architectures whose multi-head attention enables rich contextual reasoning. Against this backdrop, this dissertation unifies three complementary investigations that deepen our understanding of how large language models (LLMs) can reason over, generate, and strategically adapt language within networked settings. Phishing attacks continue to pose a significant threat to the Ethereum ecosystem, accounting for a major share of Ethereum-related cybercrimes. To enhance the detection of such fraudulent transactions, this dissertation develops a comprehensive framework for machine learning-based phishing detection in Ethereum transactions. The framework addresses critical aspects such as feature selection, class imbalance, model robustness, and the vulnerability of detection models to adversarial attacks.
