The rapid growth of the peer-to-peer (P2P) lending industry in Indonesia has increased financial access for the public and micro-businesses, but this has been accompanied by an increase in default risks that threaten the stability of the industry. This study analyzes the legal framework governing protection for P2P lending operators and ethical and legally compliant collection strategies when borrowers default. Various regulations, including the PDP Law, ITE Law, P2SK Law, POJK 10/2022, POJK 40/2024, and SE OJK 19/2023, stipulate that operators must implement strict governance, identity verification, personal data protection, and collection ethics. Although the risk of default is in …

Money changers, formally classified as Non-Bank Foreign Exchange Trading Businesses (KUPVA Non-Bank), play a strategic role in Indonesia’s financial system by facilitating foreign exchange transactions and cross-border economic activities. Nevertheless, the cash-intensive nature of money changer operations, flexible transaction values, and potential cross-jurisdictional exposure render this sector vulnerable to misuse for money laundering offenses. This study examines the role of money changers in preventing money laundering by analyzing the legal framework governing KUPVA Non-Bank within Indonesia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT). The discussion focuses on identifying vulnerabilities and potential money laundering typologies associated with money changer activities, as well …

This study examines the role of the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK) in preventing fraud in the implementation of Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) in Indonesia and compares it with the supervisory mechanisms of the banking sector, which are based on the prudential principle. Using a normative juridical approach and a comparative regulatory study, the research finds that although Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning the Offering of Securities through Information Technology Based Crowdfunding Services (POJK No. 17 of 2025) has strengthened the regulatory framework for ECF through licensing requirements, off-site and on-site supervision, issuer due diligence obligations, …

Outpatient registration services represent a critical touchpoint in the patient experience at hospitals. A mismatch between expectations and the actual service delivered can affect patient satisfaction. Public hospitals continue to face complaints related to the registration process, such as long waiting times, unclear information, and inadequate waiting facilities. This study aims to assess patient satisfaction with outpatient registration services by comparing expectations and perceptions based on Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory and by using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to provide service improvement recommendations. This quantitative study employed an analysis of identically similar characteristics of paired Expectation and Perception 84 patients, …

Large-scale tobacco marketing on social media has resulted in widespread population-level exposure, particularly in Indonesia, which faces growing challenges in digital public health. This study aimed to assess the associations between platform type and marketing tactics and identify correlations of user engagement. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted using secondary data from the Tobacco Enforcement and Reporting Movement (TERM), collected from January 2022 to August 2023. A total of 21,255 tobacco marketing posts from social media were analyzed. Platform–tactic associations were examined using Chi-square tests, and multivariable Poisson regression was used to identify factors associated with user engagement. The findings …

This quantitative study with a cross-sectional design consisted of patients with HIV aged >18 years who received care at the voluntary counseling and testing clinic of a public hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used. This study used HIV care and ART overview forms as instruments. Data were analyzed using multiple …

Environmental identity refers to an individual’s understanding of how their environment shapes their identity and relationships. This connection may cause climate change anxiety and motivate pro-environmental behavior. Using an explanatory, cross-sectional design, we examined whether environmental identity (EI) predicts climate change anxiety (CCA) and whether pro-environmental behavior (PEB) moderates their relationship. Seven hundred sixty-one Filipinos aged 18–25 completed the Revised Environmental Identity Scale, Climate Change Anxiety Scale, and Pro-Environmental Behavior Scale. Our findings revealed a significant positive relationship between environmental identity and anxiety about climate change. However, moderation analysis indicated that environmental identity is only associated with climate change anxiety …

Parental loyalty toward child therapy services is a critical factor in ensuring the sustainability of child development therapy centers. This study aims to analyze the effects of perceived quality, perceived value, perceived satisfaction, and perceived differentiation on brand trust and brand loyalty within the context of a child development therapy center. The study adopts a quantitative explanatory approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). A total of 784 respondents who had utilized pediatric therapy services participated in this study. The results indicate that brand trust is the strongest predictor of brand loyalty (β = 0.386; p < 0.001). Perceived differentiation exerts the strongest influence on brand trust (β = 0.399; p < 0.001). Perceived quality significantly affects brand trust but does not have a direct effect on brand loyalty. Meanwhile, perceived satisfaction and perceived value significantly influence both brand trust and brand loyalty. These findings underscore that parental loyalty is shaped by a combination of trust, service differentiation, satisfaction, and perceived value. This study provides important managerial implications for the development of effective strategies in pediatric therapy services.
