The Voice: 1901-1910

This edition of the Wooster Voice includes an article detailing the highlights of the outdoor track meet preliminary to the intercollegiate meet. The sophomore class wins the meet. Another article describes an 1898 graduate's wedding in Dumaguete, the first American wedding to have taken place in this Filipino province. The faculty unofficially announces the graduating class's valedictorian and salutatorian. A section titled Among the Exchanges, lists a variety of interesting intercollegiate interactions and collaborations taking place across the country. Similarly, the University Calendar lists all the upcoming events, lectures and sports games.

This edition of the voice is written by the women of Hoover Cottage - the first female dormitory at the College of Wooster.

The college presents the Second Annual Minstrel Show to students and citizens of Wooster. The issue includes a program from said show. Wooster faculty grants permission for the basket ball team to make a trip to play Westminster and Grove City College. George Sherwood Eddy, seven years engaged in Y.M.C.A work in India, addresses the Student Christian Associations. Additionally, the issue includes a lengthy piece details the travels of Miss Gertrude Gingrich.

In "Fall Campaign," preparation for the fall semester more that fifty letters were sent out to perspective students. "Membership," talks about the struggles the membership committee is going through due the departure of F.H. Merrick.

"A Firelight Dream," a feature written by Waldo H. Dunn. "Lively Time On Athletic Field," the Athletic Association asked for volunteers for the athletic field and received over fifty people. "Student Conference at Lakeside," Student Department of the International Committee of Young Men's Christian Association hosts a conference for college men at Lakeside. "Punctuality," a feature on punctuality. "New Books and Their Donors," a piece on the books that have been added to library via donations from the Y.M.C.A.

One writer describes the comedic story of a woman who was sent to the hospital on the presumption of having swallowed her false teeth, only to have her husband find them in bed. This edition continues the story "Digging with Diggers" by "One Who Digged" with the 3rd installment. There is also a continuation on the death of Mary Helen Severance, mother of Louis Henry Severance. The article reflects on her life and contributions to the college. On the 1st and 2nd pages of the paper there are 2 small sections missing that have been cut out.

"Rooster," features all of the staff of 1902-1903. "Hoover Cottage," increase of new girls in the dormitory and they plan to rent a piano.
