New Oscillator Topologies Using Inverting Second-Generation Current Conveyors, Ali̇ Toker, Hakan Kuntman, Oğüzhan Çi̇çekoğlu, Mehmet Di̇şçi̇gi̇l
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
In this work, new oscillator topologies based on a recently introduced active element, namely inverting second-generation current conveyor, are presented. This recently introduced unity gain based active element is suitable for integrated circuit realization and can easily be implemented with CMOS technology. Considering this fact, basic oscillator topologies employing a single, two and three conveyors are proposed. Several oscillator circuits based on these topologies are obtained. Expressions for oscillation conditions and frequencies are derived both for ideal and non-ideal cases. Some of them are single frequency and the others are variable frequency oscillators. The oscillators employing two and three active …

Effects Of Substrate Temperature On Properties Of A-Sin_X:H Films, Tayyar Güngör, Hüseyi̇n Tolunay
Turkish Journal of Physics
Hydrogenated amorphous silicon nitride films were prepared in an rf glow-discharge system by the decomposition of silane + nitrogen gas mixture at various substrate temperatures. The effects of substrate temperature on the electrical and optical properties of the films have been studied.

Array Pattern Nulling By Phase And Position Perturbations With The Use Of A Modified Tabu Search Algorithm, Ali̇ Akdağli, Keri̇m Güney
Array Pattern Nulling By Phase And Position Perturbations With The Use Of A Modified Tabu Search Algorithm, Ali̇ Akdağli, Keri̇m Güney
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
A useful and flexible method based on the tabu search algorithm for the pattern synthesis of linear antenna arrays with the prescribed nulls is presented. Nulling of the pattern is achieved by controlling both the phase and the position of each array element. To show the versatility of the present method, some design specifications such as the maximum sidelobe level and the null depth level are considered by introducing a set of weighting factors in the cost function constructed for the tabu search algorithm. Several illustrative examples of a Chebyshev pattern with the imposed single, multiple and broad nulls are …
Scalar Wave Diffraction By Perfectly Soft Thin Circular Cylinder Of Finite Length; Analytical Regularization Method, Eylem Özkan, Fati̇h Di̇kmen, Yury Alexanderovich Tuchkin
Scalar Wave Diffraction By Perfectly Soft Thin Circular Cylinder Of Finite Length; Analytical Regularization Method, Eylem Özkan, Fati̇h Di̇kmen, Yury Alexanderovich Tuchkin
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
A new mathematically rigorous and numerically effective method for solving the boundary value problem of scalar wave diffraction by an infinitely thin circular cylindrical screen of finite length is proposed. The method is based on the combination of the Orthogonal Polynomials Approach, and on the ideas of the methods of analytical regularization. As a result of the suggested regularization procedure, the initial boundary value problem is equivalently reduced to the infinite system of the linear algebraic equations of the second kind, i.e. to an equation of the type (I + H)x = b in the space \ell _{2} of square …
Thermodynamic And Kinetic Parameters Concerning Complex Formation Between 3-Hydroxy- And 1-Aminopyrene And Pyridine, Nursel Acar, Özgül Koçak
Thermodynamic And Kinetic Parameters Concerning Complex Formation Between 3-Hydroxy- And 1-Aminopyrene And Pyridine, Nursel Acar, Özgül Koçak
Turkish Journal of Chemistry
Systems formed by the pyrene derivatives 3-hydroxypyrene and 1-aminopyrene with pyridine were studied. The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of the systems were calculated using the changes in the absorption and emission spectra which occur due to hydrogen bond or complex formation. The decrease of the formation rate constant in the series methylcyclohexane, benzene, and o-chlorotoluene may be due to a more difficult formation of the hydrogen bond complex due to the increase of the dielectric constant in the solvent series.
Corrosion Of Reinforcing Steel In Concrete Immersed In Chloride Solution And The Effects Of Detergent Additions On Diffusion And Concrete Porosity, Hülya Kahyaoğlu, Mehmet Erbi̇l, Bi̇rgül Yazici, Ayşe Bahar Yilmaz
Turkish Journal of Chemistry
In order to investigate the corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete and the effects of chloride ions, oxygen diffusion and detergent additives of linear alkylbenzene (LAB) and linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS), potentiokinetic experiments were carried out. Thus, by embedding steel electrodes into concrete specimens with a water/cement (W/C) ratio of 0.45, current-potential curves were obtained and the compressive strength of the specimens was measured. The electrochemical approach can be used to identify the effect of chloride on steel corrosion in concrete. It was found that the diffusion of chloride and oxygen through concrete and the reduction of oxygen on the …
