The International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) published a position statement on palliative care in October 2015. The purpose of this position statement is to (1) integrate a palliative approach into the comprehensive care of cancer patients, in accordance with need, (2) acknowledge and recognize the unique and critical role of the cancer nurse in assessing and addressing cancer patients' and their caregivers' palliative care needs, and (3) support cancer nurses to adopt an evidence-based, palliative approach to support cancer patients and their caregivers across the entire trajectory of illness.

Objective: On April 27, 2011, the state of Alabama encountered a horrific day of tornados that left a trail of damage throughout the state. The city of Tuscaloosa was devastated by an EF-4 that resulted in many victims and casualties. Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa had a massive inflow of victims with both mild and major injuries. When disasters such as this occur, nurses must respond with efficiency and effectiveness to help as many victims as possible. The majority of individuals cared for by international relief organizations responding to multi-fatality disasters are those with limited access to care; therefore, human care inequities are frequently apparent. This presentation will focus on nurses facilitating equity and access to care for survivors of mass fatality disasters through an interdisciplinary care team model. Using a reflective practice methodology, the first presenter will describe her "lived experience" as a nurse working on an interdisciplinary care team responding to catastrophic disasters. This study explored two facets of clinical judgment in Tanzanian nurse education. The first was to examine the perceptions of Tanzanian nurses regarding the use of clinical judgment during their nursing education. The second purpose was to scrutinize perceived benefits and obstacles of establishing approaches to the development of clinical judgment in Tanzanian nurses. The sample consisted of ten Tanzanian nurses whose experience ranged from two to eighteen years. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of a hybrid, online education program using Self-Determination Theory as a guiding framework, on the autonomous motivation and perceived competence of baccalaureate nursing students (BSN) to intervene with psychiatric clients who are tobacco dependent.

Methods: A one-group, pre-test/post-test study design was employed with a purposive sample of 120 junior BSN students enrolled in a three-credit hour psychiatric/mental health nursing course at a large university-affiliated school of nursing.

Hong Kong was the median city with prevalence of physical victimization being 25.6% and sexual coercion being 13% among dating partners in university campus. The study also found 37.7% of university students in Hong Kong reported suicidal ideation, which was above average among 32 countries. In Mexico, the prevalence of type 2 diabetes, the leading cause of ESRD, is 14.4%; it is predicted that 18% of the adult population in Mexico will have type 2 diabetes by 2025. Previous research suggests an association between Angiotensinogen (AGT) single nucleotide polymorphisms M235T variations and hypertension. Purpose: To understand the experience, informational and psychosocial needs of Chinese immigrants in Canada who are survivors of cancer through focus groups and individual interviews.
