Integrating Project Delivery - Design, Row, And Utilities, Matthew Witt, Kenny Franklin
Integrating Project Delivery - Design, Row, And Utilities, Matthew Witt, Kenny Franklin
Purdue Road School
Utilities and ROW acquisition are two of the three most common critical path items for project delivery. Successful project teams build an awareness of these two processes early and strategically in their project. This interactive session focuses on improving reliability in project delivery by integrating a utility conflict management approach into design and project management, identifying when and how to use advanced utility investigations, and where ROW and utility coordination efforts strategically intersect.

The Future Of Transportation Funding, Steve E. Morello
Purdue Road School
Among the many collaterals impacts of vehicle electrification is a reduction in funding for government agencies who rely heavily on fuel taxation—over 75B annually—for transportation needs. States and the federal government are actively exploring user-based funding alternatives to pay for the next generation of roads that will be used by the next generation of vehicles.

Each design accommodated unique conditions within the Section 6 corridor to produce a cost-effective, long-lasting solution for the conversion of SR-37 to I-69 from Martinsville to south of Indianapolis.
Proactively Upgrading Aging Infrastructure For Multi-Modal Corridor Renewal, Michael Mills
Proactively Upgrading Aging Infrastructure For Multi-Modal Corridor Renewal, Michael Mills
Purdue Road School
Indiana is experiencing urban renewal. Urban multi- modal corridor renewal in an aging, socioeconomically challenged area has its challenges on the surface; however, what is underground can be equally challenging. In Florida, Burgess & Niple partnered with FDOT and the City of Tampa to proactively resolve the flooding on 8 miles of one-way pairs. Twelve existing 100-year-old drainage systems discharging to the Hillsborough River were modeled and upgraded, setting the foundation for the surface Complete Streets improvements.
