Sequential Detection Of Linear Features In Two-Dimensional Random Fields, Paul H. Eichel, Edward J. Delp Jul 1985

Sequential Detection Of Linear Features In Two-Dimensional Random Fields, Paul H. Eichel, Edward J. Delp

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technical Reports

The detection of edges, lines, and other linear features in two-dimensional discrete images is a low level processing step of fundamental importance in the automatic processing of such data. Many subsequent tasks in computer vision, pattern recognition, and image processing depend on the successful execution of this step. In this thesis, we will address one class of techniques for performing this task: sequential detection. Our aims are fourfold. First, we would like to discuss the use of sequential techniques as an attractive alternative to the somewhat better known methods of approaching this problem. Although several researchers have obtained significant results …

Final Evaluation Of Fhwa Technology Transfer Program At Herpicc, Purdue University, Robert K. Whitford Jun 1985

Final Evaluation Of Fhwa Technology Transfer Program At Herpicc, Purdue University, Robert K. Whitford

Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Publications

HERPICC received an increased level of funding to provide increased levels of the transfer of highway, road, and bridge related technology to the county and city officials involved in road management, operations or maintenance. The major reason for this evaluation task was to obtain some measure of how well the added funds achieved the intended purpose. The work was conducted by the Center of Public Policy and Public Administration.

Report On High Intensity Solar Cells. Period Covered: June 1, 1983 To November 4, 1984, R. J. Schwartz, J. L. Gray, M. S. Lundstrom

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technical Reports

The purpose of this program is to provide general analytic support to Sandia National Laboratory’s effort to develop high efficiency, high concentration solar cells. This support has taken the following forms: 1) Implementation of the two-dimensional silicon code on Purdue’s Cyber 205. 2) The release of both the one- and two-dimensional silicon codes to Sandia National Laboratory. 3) Continued enhancement of the codes and updating of the physical models used by the codes. 4) Use of the two-dimensional code to investigate the performance and design of high concentration solar cells.speed over conventional sequential multi-mode systems. The multi-mode system which uses …
