This inventory documents the debts owed to E. L. Ray in total of six thousand eight hundred nineteen dollars and ninety-nine cents as of January 10, 1905. The inventory is written on a Sate of Mississippi, Attala County Estate inventory sheet with all mentions of "deceased" marked through, as Ray was still alive at the time.

Crayon portrait of William Alexander Love in Mississippi National Guard uniform. Love joined the Prairie Guards of the state militia when it was formed in the 1870s and retired with the rank of brigadier-general in the Mississippi National Guard in 1906. Crayon portraits, where a photograph is enhanced with charcoal and pastel, were popular in the latter part of the nineteenth century.
