William Alexander Love's manuscript history which he titled Autobiographical Sketch and Narrative Help's in Mississippi History. This history written in longhand by Love W.A. Love joined the Prairie Guards of the state militia when it was formed in the 1870s and retired with the rank of brigadier-general in the Mississippi National Guard in 1906. Crayon portraits, where a photograph is enhanced with charcoal and pastel, were popular in the latter part of the nineteenth century. 1925 is an attempt to tell Mississippi's history from the appearance of the Native Americans through to the early twentieth century with his own family's …

The "Post" and "Correspondence" are the only identifiers remaining. The card is described as Guantanamo, Cuba in January 1920.

This article, titled "Kosciusko Public School Closes", details the graduation exercise of the Kosciusko High School including the program of various speakers and music. The article goes on to praise Professor Boyd and his assistants for their "unceasing labor for the success of the school." The class roll of the graduates is at the end of the article. The estimated year of this graduation is based on Leighton Ray's presence in the graduating class. There is some damage near the bottom of the article.

During World War I, Thomas Scott was the headmaster of the Normal School, what is now the University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg, MS. Scott and his wife had two sons at the front, Lynwood and Percy. As with the Swan Family letters, both sides of the correspondence survive.
