Capstone Projects – Politics and Government

This report will provide a summary of professional and academic activities related to my service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan, Central Asia.

This report is first and foremost the story of my Peace Corps experience, told from the perspective of an NGO Development Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) serving at youth development organizations and educational institutions in northern Kazakhstan. The foundation for my service has been rooted in my graduate studies at the Illinois State University Stevenson Center and through my Peace Corps training.

A Reevaluation Of The Trade Union Unity League, 1929-1934, Victor G. Devinatz

Faculty Publications – Management

The "Third Period" trade union activities of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), especially the creation of independent "red" industrial unions as opposed to continuing to work within the craft-oriented American Federation of Labor (AFL) unions, has been widely criticized in the literature. The recent opening of the CPUSA archives has made it possible to reevaluate the Party's activities during this era.
