Savannah Biographies
James McIntire entered the United States In 1837 from Donagel county Ireland. A grocer by trade McIntire was a successful businessman. He married Francis Norris, an Enqlish emigrant, and they brouqht up their family of eleven children in Savannah. In 1862 he died and was buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

Immigrated to United States prior to 1867. Was a partner in Oppenheimer, Mohr and Co. and later in Mohr Bro. Co. Was listed as helping to form the Liberty Mfg. Co. With Amson, his brother, he formed the American Mfg. Co. which manufactured pants, Was of Jewish faith and associated with Mickve Israel Temple, Lazarus died March 16, 1906,

Amson Mohr was born in Bavaria about 1848 and immigrated to the United States arriving in Savannah prior to 1866. He became partner. in Lippman, Bro.,& Co., a wholesale and retail dry goods store. Later he was a partner .ln Oppenheimer, Mohr & Co. and then in the Mohr Bro. Co. Amson was one of the incorporating members of the Liberty Mfg. Co. and the American Mfg. Co. He was a founding member and director of the Germania Bank. He married Miss Carrie Epstein of St. Louis, Mo. They had three sons; Ivan, Melvin and Bertram. Amson died about 1919.

Effects Of Operant Conditioning Of Cooperative Play On Non-Reinforced Behaviors In Severely And Profoundly Retarded Adults, Martha Wade Aenchbacher

A group of seven severely and profoundly retarded adults from a sheltered workshop program were trained in cooperative play (basketball skills and hand clapping) using social and edible reinforcement and fading procedures. The generalization effects of the training on non-reinforced (undesirable) behaviors in an extratraining setting was investigated. A reversal technique in which the reinforcement was temporarily withdrawn demonstrated the reliable functioning of the training procedures. Independent observers recorded target behaviors during five phases: Baseline; Training; Generalization Testing; Extinction; Generalization Testing. The rate of undesirable behaviors decreased significantly in the extra-training setting (activity room) following the training phase. The findings …
