Ts-Reconfiguration Of K-Path Vertex Covers In Caterpillars For K \Geq 4, Duc A. Hoang

Theory & Applications of Graphs

A k-path vertex cover (k-PVC) of a graph G is a vertex subset I such that each path on k vertices in G contains at least one member of I. Imagine that a token is placed on each vertex of a k-PVC. Given two k-PVCs I, J of a graph G, thek-Path Vertex Cover Reconfiguration (k-PVCR)} under Token Sliding (TS) problem asks if there is a sequence of k-PVCs between I and J where each intermediate member is obtained from its predecessor by sliding a token from some …

Each parent completed the PAQ three times, one for their perception of each of their parents and one for their perception of their own parenting. Desire In Bridgerton: Defining The Female Gaze, Hailey C. Coles Apr 2023

Desire In Bridgerton: Defining The Female Gaze, Hailey C. Coles

Honors College Theses

Feminist literature is rife with multiple, sometimes conflicting, sometimes partial, definitions of the female gaze. A definitive understanding of the female gaze incorporates the literature but includes other modes of thought and analysis appropriate for a number of different media. Bridgerton articulates this understanding as it privileges female sexuality not just through dialogue, but through its focus on multiple characters’ bodily awareness. Non-verbal elements like blocking, the physical articulation of bodies, changes in camera angles and foci that privilege subtle and nuanced movements, and even the pervasive use of music all contribute to the form and characterization of the female …

Policies On The Victimization Of Enumerated Students Across The Geographic South, Matthew D. Kreutz

This thesis will cover theoretical evaluations and content analysis of bullying policies and their enactment at the district and state levels in the geographic South.

Literature Through The Looking Glass: How Fan Fiction Can Save English, Jacob C. Quinn Apr 2023

Literature Through The Looking Glass: How Fan Fiction Can Save English, Jacob C. Quinn

Honors College Theses

English departments face a crisis of student disinterest. Scholars are struggling to sell the study of literature as practically useful in an increasingly STEM-dominated world. The literary realm of fan fiction, which can serve as a guiding star, demonstrates how a community of readers and writers can reach for ideals of democracy and creativity that acknowledge the inherent worth of studying literature while also examining how such study can help students thrive in a world threatened by censorship and authoritarianism. This is a prescription for a total shift in philosophy for the academic study of literature. Such study has been …

Csr Communication Strategy: Avoiding Consumer Skepticism Considering Product Type And Firm Size, Maisy Dauphinais, Setare Mohammadi, Lin Guo

AMTP Proceedings 2023

According to prior study, applying a promotional tone may diminish the credibility of the CSR message. To the best of our knowledge, prior studies did not distinguish between luxury and everyday products when determining the most effective technique for highlighting their CSR initiatives and accomplishments. Furthermore, these tactics may need some adjustments for organizations of various sizes, which hasn't been researched before. Results show that three variables—company size (small/large), product type (luxury/fairly priced), and communication style (factual/promotional)—influence customer CSR skepticism. According to our findings, if a firm is big and sells luxury goods, it's ideal to use a factual tone …

Multi-item scales for all five constructs that had been shown to produce a high degree of reliability in prior research were gleaned from the literature. Results from South Africa and the United States were compared. High degrees of reliability were in evidence for each scale in each country. A comparison of the mean scores documented …

Combating Luxury Brand Counterfeiting: Recommended Action Strategies, Md Shahidul Islam

AMTP Proceedings 2023

In the past few decades, luxury brand counterfeiting has grown significantly worldwide, and this growth caused considerable damage to the knowledge-based globalized economy and the brands. Counterfeit products can be found in many industries, such as common consumer goods, IT goods, agriculture goods, pharmaceutical items, and luxury items (fashion apparel). The measures adopted to combat luxury brand counterfeiting are minimal to what should have been done. This study proposes that social media activism against counterfeiting is critical …

COVID-19 was a watershed event in higher education as institutions at all levels were affected. Schools, colleges, and universities were forced to transition to remote or online instruction with varying levels of preparation. While most colleges and universities in the developed world were taken by surprise, they were not completely unprepared, as most institutions already had the infrastructure to facilitate online learning. In fact, some institutions were already offering online or hybrid courses of study. The developing world, and the Caribbean in particular, faced a different challenge. While institutions utilized learning management systems to deliver face-to-face classes, the facilitation …
