Journal of Letters
The status of Korean Prisoners of War (POWs) after the Second World War differed from that of Japanese soldiers, and also Allied soldiers who had been POWs of the Japanese Army. Japanese soldiers and civilians were recognized by the Thai government and the Allies as defeated combatants and were treated as prisoners. Allied Dutch, Australian and British soldiers and civilians, who were captured and used by the Japanese Armed Forces as coolies, were viewed as victors. Hence, these former POWs were treated kindly, with the Government providing as many necessities of life as possible and following their demands. The status …

Bacterial cystitis can play an important role in dogs with urolithiasis; it can either be the cause of cystic formation or be a complication following urolithiasis. Moreover, urolithiasis cases that come with bacterial cystitis can lead to a condition of complicated cystitis which will require more complicated treatment and management. Proper bacterial identification should be performed in order to follow an appropriate treatment. Specific treatments require bacterial identification in order to select the most appropriate antibiotics. There are three main possible sites for bacterial sample collection in …

Salmonellosis is the main reason for food borne diseases in many countries globally and it has been found that reptiles are carriers of the disease. Therefore, this study was performed to determine the distribution of Salmonella spp. and their serovars from reptiles in zoos in Thailand between 2017 and 2018. A total of 257 reptile samples were collected from four zoos which are Dusit (128 samples), Chiangmai (32 samples), Songkhla (34 samples) and Nakhonratchasima (63 samples). Salmonella was isolated and identified, serotyping of those isolates was investigated using a panel of Salmonella antisera and serotypes were characterized according to the …

Investigation Of The Microstructure And Mechanical Properties Of The Domestic Cat’S Paw Pads, Ye Mei
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Domestic cats have a biological function such as cushioning when they are jumping or walking which is mainly due to the biological coupling system formed in the long-term evolution process of nature, including the trunk-leg-paw pad structure. Among them, the paw pad, as the only part of the body that directly contacts with the ground in the process of movement, plays a key role in its biological function. Hence, in order to clarify the micro structure, mechanical properties and functional characteristics of the paw pad and reveal the relationship between it and the domestic cat’s biological function, this paper has …
