A 5-month-old intact male Pomeranian puppy was presented with a 2-week history of acutely swollen face, eyelids, lips, and muzzle. A physical examination revealed focal alopecia, folliculitis, and erythema on the muzzle, periocular, and perianal areas; crusts were also found around the muzzle. The puppy received monthly oral afoxolaner and milbemycin oxime. No ectoparasite was observed based on a trichogram test. Skin cytology revealed intracellular cocci and neutrophils. A skin biopsy taken from the muzzle revealed pyogranulomatous perifollicular dermatitis with epidermal spongiosis, intraepidermal pustules, and a superficial crust. The dromedary camel possesses unique ocular adaptations enabling survival in harsh desert environments. This study aimed to characterize the posterior segment of the dromedary camel’s eye using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and fundus photography. Fourteen healthy adult camels were sedated and imaged. High-resolution OCT images enabled clear visualization and measurement of the retina, choroid, and sclera. The retina exhibited well-defined layers, including the retinal pigment epithelium, photoreceptor layer, plexiform layers, and nerve fiber layer. Background: Disadvantaged youths in Thailand are left critically exposed to sexual health risks due to systemic informational barriers that have been largely unaddressed by research. This qualitative study aimed to investigate the sexual health literacy and information needs of disadvantaged youths.

Method: The research utilized purposive sampling for in-depth interviews with 16 disadvantaged students at Rajaprajanugroh 58 School in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand and a focus group discussion with 10 of their teachers. Data was collected in August 2025.

Background: Balanced iron and ferritin levels are essential for many biological functions; unfortunately, smoking may disrupt these levels. The objective of this study was to investigate the association between smoking status with serum iron/ferritin levels among Jordanian adults.

Method: Participants were classified as active, passive, or non-smokers. Blood samples were analyzed to measure serum iron and ferritin levels. Statistical tests assessed differences in these levels among smoking groups.

Hirayama disease, or monomelic amyotrophy, is a rare, self-limiting cervical myelopathy that primarily affects young males. It leads to muscle atrophy and weakness, especially in the hands and forearms, often due to cervical spinal cord compression during neck flexion. We report a case of a 41-year-old female from rural India who presented with progressive weakness in her left hand, resulting from ulnar nerve compression. The primer was designed with the major capsid protein gene of Megalocytivirus, including red sea bream iridovirus (RSIV), infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV), and turbot reddish body iridovirus (TRBIV). The anal swabs of sick red panda were collected for bacterial isolation, biochemical analysis, 16SrRNA sequencing identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and research on pathogenicity in Mice. An Escherichia coli (E. coli) strain was isolated and determined. This strain was resistant to ampicillin, penicillin G, ceftiofur, and highly sensitive to levofloxacin, imipenem, azithromycin, kanamycin, and compound sulfamethoxazole. This study aimed to evaluate the analytical agreement between a handheld point-of-care (POC) lactate meter (StatStrip Xpress^®2 Lac/Hb/Hct, Nova Biomedical) and a standard blood gas analyzer (Stat Profile Prime Plus^® VET, Nova Biomedical) for measuring plasma lactate concentrations in critically ill dogs. Fifty-seven client-owned dogs were admitted to the Emergency Unit and Critical Care Unit (CCU) of the Small Animal Hospital, Chulalongkorn University, enrolled. Background: Buddhist monks in Thailand experience distinctive lifestyle constraints—such as dependence on alms-based diets and restrictions on strenuous physical activity—that heighten their vulnerability to type 2 diabetes. This study examined the effectiveness of a structured health literacy program in improving diabetes-preventive self-care behaviors among pre-diabetic Buddhist monks in upper northeastern Thailand.

Background: Universal health coverage (UHC) literacy is vital for promoting equitable access to healthcare. However, Thailand lacks a validated tool specifically designed to measure UHC literacy within its cultural context. This study aimed to develop and validate such a tool, named the Universal Health Coverage Literacy Scale for the Thai Context (UHCL:TH).

Methods: A two-phase cross-sectional study design was employed. Phase 1 involved a literature review and identification of the tool’s key components through a two-round Modified Delphi Method process conducted with 19 multidisciplinary experts.
