As-972-24 Resolution On Credit For Prior Learning (Cpl) Policy, Academic Senate Curriculum Committee, Ad Hoc Work Group On Credit For Prior Learning
Academic Senate Resolutions
Adopts the attached policy on Credit for Prior Learning, and further resolves that faculty and staff serving as CPL coordinators, challenge exam administrators, portfolio assessors, or evaluators of other outside credit will be compensated for their service to a degree commensurate with the required additional workload; and further resolves that the Academic Senate recommends, that before this policy goes into effect, the Campus Fee Advisory Committee in consultation with the Office of the Provost determine the appropriate fees to be charged students for the evaluation of challenge exams and CPL portfolios to offset the additional faculty and staff workload and …

As-973-24 Resolution To Clarify Language On Grade Forgiveness And Course Repeats Effective Fall Term 2026, Academic Senate Instruction Committee

Adopts the clarifications to AS-968-24 that includes the language consistent with the maximum provisions of CSU Executive Order 1037 regarding number of attempts, specifies the exclusion of grades found to be the result of academic dishonesty from grade forgiveness, specifies that courses for the graduate degree are not eligible for grade forgiveness, and approves the complete policy language specified in the attached Grade Forgiveness and Course Repeat Policy for Undergraduates; and further resolves that this policy become effective beginning with the Fall term of 2026.
