This study investigates the determinants of university students' adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools in higher education. Integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and Self-Determination Theory (SDT), it develops and tests a complete model that captures cognitive, social, and motivational influences on adoption. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 517 undergraduate and postgraduate students at Jordanian universities. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with a two-step approach: confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to validate the measurement model, followed by SEM to test the hypothesized structural relationships. In today's fast-paced global economy, born-global SMEs must rapidly develop strategic capabilities to compete on the international stage. Understanding how these firms cultivate entrepreneurial behavior across borders is critical for sustaining competitive advantage. However, limited research has systematically examined the mechanisms and boundary conditions through which strategic intent translates into international entrepreneurial outcomes, particularly in developing economy contexts such as Pakistan. Drawing on dynamic capabilities theory, this study explores how the strategic intent of born-global firms drives international corporate entrepreneurship (ICE). We propose that a supportive learning climate acts as a key mechanism through which strategic intent translates into ICE. …

From Proficiency To Pedagogy: A Mixed-Methods Study Of In-Service Teachers’ Tpack-Genai And The Mediating Role Of Pedagogical Knowledge, Laila Mohebi, Areej Elsayary

This study investigated in-service teachers' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge for Generative Artificial Intelligence (TPACK-GenAI) and examined the factors influencing their integration of generative AI in classroom practice. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, data were collected from 325 in-service teachers across 26 countries, followed by in-depth interviews with seven teachers. Quantitative results revealed that Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) were significantly associated with teachers' overall TPACK-GenAI. Crucially, mediation analysis confirmed that Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) serves as the indirect association through which TK is related to overall TPACK-GenAI competence. Effective demand forecasting has become crucial to strengthening system resilience, reducing food waste, and achieving sustainability in food systems. Despite recent advances in leveraging machine learning for food demand forecasting, most existing models remain static and assume stable demand patterns, posing a challenge for adapting to demand changes during disruption events. This paper develops a proactive approach that leverages demand forecasting outputs and weather disruption flags to guide inventory replenishment, ensuring adaptability to varying demand conditions across three weather disruption events while reducing waste. Career choices and professional development are influenced by various factors, such as family dynamics, teacher guidance, career counselling, peer influence, continuous learning, and market trends. This study aims to explore the experiences and perspectives of both students and staff regarding the impact of career guidance on the career choices, professional development of undergraduate Emirati students in selected higher education institutions in the UAE. Twenty-three participants, purposefully chosen, were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. Thematic analysis was employed to analyze the gathered data. This creative component course development project includes five (5) supplementary lessons focused on animal welfare concerns in livestock reproduction, biological foundations of ethical animal reproduction, responsible use of reproductive technology, ethical reproductive management, and ethical breeding decisions in livestock genetics. This resource also includes a teacher guide, supplementary instructional materials, assessment materials, implementation guidance, and reflection sections.
Together, these components give teachers a usable set of lessons and support materials for bringing ethical decision-making into animal science instruction. These lecture slides introduce deep learning compilers for a graduate compiler-construction course (CSc 81010). Building on the classical compiler pipeline, they show how modern machine-learning systems compile tensor programs: static tensor and type analysis (illustrated by a WALA/Ariadne-based refactoring of imperative TensorFlow code to graph mode), MLIR-based end-to-end compilation with IREE, and the PyTorch 2.x stack—TorchDynamo graph capture, AOTAutograd, PrimTorch operator decomposition, and TorchInductor lowering to Triton (GPU) and C++/OpenMP (CPU). This webinar presents an overview of the contemporary state of creative-practice research and autotheory before introducing Shimmer, an emerging methodological framework developed through creative practice, postgraduate supervision, and reflective inquiry. The presentation argues that while creative-practice research has successfully established creative work as a legitimate form of knowledge production, and autotheory has legitimised lived experience as theoretical material, both traditions leave relatively under-theorised the embodied moment through which insight first emerges.
The significance of the work lies in its contribution to ongoing debates around embodiment, affect, intuition, and knowledge production within creative-practice research. Shimmer proposes a language for understanding …

Agnosticism and atheism are often grouped simply as nonreligious identities, yet emerging research highlights their distinct psychological profiles and social implications. Among these distinctions, collective narcissism–characterized by strong attachment to one’s group, exceptionalism, and grievance for recognition–offers a framework for understanding identity processes in both nonreligious groups. We examined whether agnostics and atheists exhibit collective narcissism and its forms (agentic–focused on exceptional effectiveness; communal–focused on exceptional morality) similarly to believers. We explored cross-denominational variance in agentic and communal collective narcissism levels relying on data from 77 countries (N = 3,570; 1227 agnostics, 2343 atheists). Atmospheric aerosol particles that contain water-soluble components can absorb water vapor in humid environments and form either haze particles or cloud droplets, depending on supersaturation conditions. Laboratory and in-situ measurements have shown that haze particles and cloud droplets often coexist and compete for available water vapor in shallow clouds and fogs, especially under polluted conditions. It is expected that more aerosol particles can form more haze particles and cloud droplets, so that the haze and cloud number concentrations are positively correlated. However, recent large-eddy simulations show that haze and cloud number concentration can be negatively correlated under extremely polluted conditions. …

This dataset contains survey and social network data from 42 members of a predominantly Puerto Rican senior center in Hartford, Connecticut. It includes two linked components (1) participant-level information on demographics, health, mobility, and transportation, and (2) a sociometric network of companionship ties among members. The data are designed for use in social network analysis and research on aging, mobility, and social relationships. Ash trees in MN are recently susceptible to the invasive species of Emerald Ash Borer. These insects burrow into native MN ash trees, lay their larvae, and significantly harm or kill the trees. MN native ash trees are not equipped to deal with this invasive species and rather need to be chemically treated to save the trees. These maps depict the GPS locations of the ash trees on CSBSJU campus proper. Accurate and reliable breast cancer detection from mammographic images remains a critical challenge due to subtle lesion appearance, high intra-class variability, and class imbalance inherent in clinical datasets. To address these issues, this study proposes Swin-BreastNet, an explainable and optimization-driven deep learning framework for binary classification of benign and malignant breast lesions from full-field digital mammograms. The proposed approach leverages the hierarchical Swin Transformer model to effectively capture fine-grained local texture patterns and long-range contextual dependencies through Shifted Window Multi-head Self-Attention (SW-MSA). Background: Large Language Models (LLMs) are predominantly trained and aligned in ways that reinforce Westerncentric epistemologies and socio-cultural norms, leading to cultural homogenization and limiting their ability to reflect global civilizational plurality. Existing benchmarking frameworks fail to adequately capture this bias, as they rely on rigid, closed-form assessments that overlook the complexity of cultural inclusivity. Objectives: To address this cultural bias problem, we introduce WorldView-Bench, a benchmark designed to evaluate Global Cultural Inclusivity (GCI) in LLMs by analyzing their ability to accommodate diverse worldviews. Biophysical Characterization Of Protein-Lipid Interactions Using Suv Model Membranes, Nick Pufall

Membrane protein–lipid interactions are critical for cellular signaling but are difficult to study in controlled systems. Here, we synthesized small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) from DOPC and DOPS lipids using freeze–thaw cycles and extrusion to achieve low polydispersity. SUV size strongly influenced lipid accessibility: highly curved vesicles (<100 nm) introduced packing defects that will enhance lipid transfer to bovine serum albumin (BSA), while larger vesicles show reduced transfer due to tighter packing. DLS and fluorescence measurements support increased stabilization of protein–lipid complexes in smaller SUVs. Differences between DOPC and DOPS further highlight the role of lipid composition in regulating protein–membrane interactions.

This dataset was collected as part of the Husky PAWS (Pathways for Academic
Wellness & Success) S-STEM program at Michigan Technological University. It
includes anonymized quantitative and qualitative data from a three-week
pre-semester summer bridge program in 2024, designed to support low-income,
STEM-bound students. Data sources include pre- and post-program Likert and
open-ended surveys and daily written reflections aligned with instructional
modules on metacognition and Yosso’s Community Cultural Wealth Model (CWM).
The dataset supports research on how bridge programming influences
students’ sense of belonging, metacognitive development, and engagement
with institutional support systems during the transition to college.

This data was primarily used for the development and testing of preprocessing and artificial intelligence damage detection algorithms for Alaskan arctic roads. They provide a high-resolution, geospatial scan of almost 95 kilometers of Arctic roadways along the Dalton, Steese, and Nome Highways in Alaska. The data used was collected using a ground vehicle and uncrewed aircraft mounted LiDAR sensors between 2022 and 2024. The dataset provides a spatial resolution exceeding 300 pts/m2 and < 2 cm vertical accuracy with a total data volume just over 16GB. The data is broken into three regions including Nome, Prudhoe Bay, and Yukon. Each region contains multiple datasets representing the reference output for multiple stages of the processing including slicing into 100m segments, segmentation of the surrounding non-road data, and filtering the remaining noise/objects above the roads surface. Damage was also identified, categorized, and labeled within the Nome region due to the extensive damage from Typhoon Merbok.
