Design work from the 1980 fall semester, Studio Martin Price, School of Architecture, The University of Texas at Arlington. Dormitory. Robert Meckfessel. The aim of positioning the dorm at the periphery of the UTA commuter parking lot, is to attempt to socially intermix the student residents with students who commute to campus. The three dormitory pathways meander across a pond and form a connection to the University. These paths define the form of the linear buildings and arrive at a plaza that focuses on the main route through the campus. Roof profiles also meander and join an earth berm, giving …

A Grammar Of Two Pacoh Texts, Richard Leon Watson

The goals of this grammar are threefold: first to learn more about the Pacoh language of Viet Nam and leave a record of the results for future students of Pacoh; second, to learn more about discourse structure, and third, to learn more about deep grammar and its correlations with surface grammar. The method followed emphasizes a particular discourse approach and a particular deep and surface grammar approach. The discourse approach calls for a thorough analysis of two expository texts, resulting in individual text grammars. These are next compared and contrasted with each other.
