Data and Datasets

Prior audiologic research suggests that the personality traits of cochlear implant (CI) users likely influences their rehabilitation. Research has primarily focused on the “Big Five” personality domains (Agreeableness, Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Negative Emotionality, and Open-Mindedness) with limited information available on the underlying facets. The aim of this study was to better understand how personality domains and facets were related to CI user’s quality of life, barriers to CI use, and perceived hearing ability. Summary and full movement dataset for adult female wild pigs (Sus scrofa; n = 10) trapped and GPS-collared on the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge), 2020-2021, in Noxubee, Oktibbeha, and Winston counties of Mississippi. The movement dataset was cleaned by removing fixes that did not follow the 2-hour fix rate programmed for each collar (i.e., fixes with missed fixes or NAs before and after). The dataset has both "Date_Time" and "TimeDiff" columns that better illustrate this point. While all collars were deployed on adult females from unique sounders, it is worth noting that pigs 26628 …

The population data in the 2023 annual report tables were compiled by the Population Research Center, Portland State University, 4/15/2024.

The tables in this workbook present the 2023 population estimates produced by the Population Research Center, Portland State University. The July 1 estimates of total population for counties and cities and towns were certified December 15, 2023.

Some tables include the U.S. Census Bureau's decennial Census counts and historical population estimates produced by our Center, and other tables include calculations of change since Census 2020. Also included are population estimates for broad age groups and 5-year age groups.

Weight stigma can result in negative patient outcomes and discourage healthcare seeking behaviors. Exploring weight stigma in an interprofessional education (IPE) setting can encourage multidisciplinary dialogue on providing weight-inclusive care. The objective of this paper is to describe a 4-hour Zoom-based IPE workshop related to weight stigma. The workshop featured lectures from subject matter experts interspersed with three breakout room sessions in which interprofessional teams applied the lecture content in problem-based scenarios which incorporated pictures of patient care settings, chart notes, and clinical vignettes. Tbi And Tau Loss-Of-Function Both Affect Naïve Ethanol Sensitivity In Drosophila, Gregg Roman

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with alcohol abuse and higher ethanol sensitivity later in life. Currently, it is poorly understood how ethanol sensitivity changes with time after TBI and whether there are sex-dependent differences in the relationship between TBI and ethanol sensitivity. This study uses the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to investigate how TBI affects alcohol sensitivity and whether the effects are sex-specific. Our results indicate that flies have a significantly higher sensitivity to the intoxicating levels of ethanol during the acute phase post-TBI, regardless of sex. The increased ethanol sensitivity decreases as time progresses; however, females take longer …
