Augmented reality (AR)-based Virtual Try-On (VTO) enables consumers to visualize cosmetic products before purchase and has become increasingly relevant in digital marketing. Drawing on the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) framework, this study examines attitude toward the product as a mediating mechanism linking AR-based VTO experiences with purchase intention. Unlike studies that predominantly conceptualize the organism in terms of responses to technology or technology-mediated experiences, this study adopts a product-focused perspective by examining consumers’ evaluations of cosmetic products presented through VTO. This study aims to identify and describe forms of compliance with and violations of politeness principles in netizens’ responses to the issue of salary increases for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) on the TikTok account @kompastv.indonesia. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through digital documentation of netizens’ comments related to the issue. The data were selected purposively and analyzed using Leech’s politeness principles by considering both the linguistic forms and pragmatic contexts of the comments. The findings reveal that violations of politeness principles were more frequently identified than compliance within the analyzed corpus. …

The creative concept draws on the linguistic and visual characteristics of Van Ophuijsen Spelling and its historical context as represented through narratives and visual sources. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach by adapting the Tri Cipta Karya method, comprising contemplation, exploration, and creation and presentation. This study analyzes the arrangement structure, percussion rhythmic patterns, interlocking technique, and vocal harmony of Amdahil Mukammal as performed by the Bismilhub Hadrah Al-Banjari group in Junrejo, Batu, Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative method with a musicological approach was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation from February to May 2026. The informants included the group leader, trainer, lead vocalist, and terbang player. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was examined through methodological and source triangulation. This study aims to describe and compare DeepL and ChatGPT translations of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Rotkäppchen from German into Indonesian based on Nida and Taber’s principle of dynamic equivalence. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a comparative design. The data sources consist of the German text of Rotkäppchen from Kinder- und Hausmärchen (1857) and its translations produced by DeepL and ChatGPT. The analysis focuses on lexical, grammatical, semantic, pragmatic, and stylistic aspects while considering the preservation of meaning, context, target-language naturalness, and communicative effect. While gender has been largely debunked as a form of performance, biological sex remains an irreducible point of departure. This essay challenges biological sex as a category through the Foucauldian lens of bio-power and technologies of the self. It merges findings from interviews surrounding intersectionally marginalized experiences with menstruation with trans and disability studies. Utilizing Mel Chen’s theory of animacies, and Margrit Shildrick’s human-technology amalgamation theory, this essay blurs the biological-artificial binary. While there are obstacles, limiting what is biologically possible for humans, the body can be significantly augmented through imagination, body modification, and the invention of newly gendered practices.

Bullying in educational settings is a social issue that not only affects victims but also generates diverse public responses on social media. This study examines the linguistic forms and pragmatic functions used by netizens in responding to a bullying case at MTs Al Khairaat Sindue through comments on the TikTok account @Inews.com. A descriptive qualitative approach employing qualitative content analysis was used. This study examines the visual representation of Paroots’ “Revolusi Mental” cover artwork, created by Garis Edelweiss, using Roland Barthes’ semiotics and Stuart Hall’s theory of representation.
