This study provides an analysis of market conditions for subsidized dwelling on its for a two year period from September 1971 to September 1973. It emerged because of the strong and prevailing belief that there exists today in the Omaha Housing Market Area (HMAl an urgent and unmet need for a large number of safe, decent dwelling units available at prices or rents that low and moderate income families can afford. The number of inadequate dwelling units (those lacking plumbing facilities or deteriorating or dilapidated), and the number of persons living below poverty level incomes are suggestive of the fact …

In view of the complexities which are now involved in school facility construction, it is paramount that the relationship between the architect and his school client develop fully and that it be based upon a clear and mutual understanding of role expectation. The school board, as the hiring agency, is characteristically composed of laymen both in the field of education and in the field of heavy construction. They must rely upon the judgment of the architect regarding the design features of the proposed facility and must depend upon their superintendent and his staff for determining educational program requirements.

This study is one of four exploratory studies concerned with coalitions of organizations that are formed to plan and develop social welfare programs within the local community. Although each study was conducted independently, taken together their major purpose was to develop some insights and knowledge into the behavior of organizations and the ways in which they interact as they work together to develop community programs. They are, then, exploratory studies of inter-organizational behavior.

Past experience in New Mexico has shown that the traditional agency line-item budget does not serve as a tool for making rational decisions about state government because it does not present the appropriate information needed by the decision-makers. To make rational decisions and policies, the Governor and the Legislature both need to know more about an agency than the cost of salaries and travel. The purpose of this project was to explore the coping patterns of people denied public assistance. The primary focus was on resources available and used by those denied to assist them in the situation that led them to apply for public assistance in the first place.

A review of the literature revealed that very little is known concerning those denied public assistance. This project is one of the first to study the problem of how those denied manage after denial.
