Background: Cardiovascular disease is responsible for half a million deaths per year in the United States. Both the state of Kentucky and city of Louisville have statistics of the presence of cardiovascular disease that are higher than the national average.
Setting: This project took place at Have a Heart Clinic in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
Purpose: The purpose of this project was to decrease CVD risk factors in Louisville’s underserved neighborhoods.

To meet the interprofessional education needs of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, universities transitioned to virtual options. For many universities, this transition was challenging and time-consuming. The Arkansas Interprofessional Education Consortium (ARIPEC) combined resources to create a novel learning experience for students with a focus on the skill of home assessment. An interinstitutional, interprofessional faculty project team was developed to create a learning experience, with each institution responsible for a portion of the virtual simulation development. Problem Statement: Heart failure (HF) is a complex cardiovascular disease that affects 6.2 million Americans and is associated with high morbidity and mortality, with almost 400,000 deaths annually. Medication adherence in HF can lower the risk of death and rehospitalization. As many as 46% of heart failure patients have medication nonadherence. The 2021 Update to the 2017 American College of Cardiology Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Optimization of Heart Failure Guidelines recommends smartphones or other mobile health (mHealth) applications (apps) for medication adherence tracking. Background: The benefits of breastfeeding are commonly known; however, the rates of exclusive breastfeeding among the Black community are less than those of other ethnic groups. Providing breastmilk or formula to an infant is an individual decision. Influential factors such as cultural background, employment status, socioeconomic status, level of education, and availability of support from family members and health care providers correlate with the method a mother chooses to feed her infant. Increasing breastfeeding initiation immediately after birth is a necessary precedent for uptake in the exclusivity of breastfeeding.

Asian Americans (AsAm) comprise about 7% of the United States population and are the only racial group for whom cancer is the leading cause of death. Breast Cancer (BrCa) is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in this population, with the highest incidence in the age of 45-49 years, which is 30 years younger than for non-Hispanic Whites. The incidence of BrCa has been increasing for over three decades in AsAm.

The study was conducted to assess the awareness and health promotional behaviour regarding non- alcoholic fatty liver disease among female population at risk . Methods: this non- experimental research study was conducted among 149 females under risk of developing Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. Vanishing twin’s syndrome refers to the death of one of the co-twin foetus(es) during the early antenatal period. The cause of vanishing twins is unknown and most cases occur with in-vitro fertilization (IVF) conception. Transvaginal ultrasonography helps to detect lost twins during the early trimester. The complications that may arise among neonates born to women with a known history of vanishing twin syndrome are low birth weight and low Apgar score at birth.

This article describes development of a theory to guide nurses promoting perinatal weight self-management behaviors. The Coaching for Childbearing Health (CoaCH) Model was developed through synthesis of the Individual and Family Self-Management Theory with Transitions Theory, following Walker and Avant's process of theory synthesis. Qualitative data were integrated to provide perinatal context. The CoaCH Model is composed of context factors that shape a nurse coaching intervention, supporting patients' self-management efforts. Sustained engagement in weight self-management behaviors will impact the long-term health of both the birthing person and the child. Breast cancer (BC) is the most prevalent type of cancer among women and the most common cancer diagnosis for all the population in the United States. Early screening and treatment for BC have improved the prognosis for breast cancer survivors (BCSs) and increased survival rate. Current evidence showed insufficient data related to BCSs’ post-treatment symptoms, coping issues, and availability and impact of educational and support programs associated with breast cancer survivorship.

The result of microscopic examination of 100 human stool samples showed that 33% of them were infected with Entamoeba histolytica. The rate of infection with Entamoeba histolytica in the males was 21% while in the females was 12% with a significant differences at (P6-10 years, while the lowest rate 4% was found at age group ≥20 years.
