Apothecary

An indication of the growth of Southwestern State College is seen vividly in the school of pharmacy. The class of 1964 is the largest in the history of our school. More instructors have been employed, new equipment has been purchased, and physical plant facilities have been expanded resulting in a beautiful new science building.

As we leave Southwestern State College, we realize the great responsibility that is ours in promoting the profession of pharmacy, cultivating a greater respect for our profession, and serving our fellow man. We accept the challenges of tomorrow, as well as the opportunities, in an effort …

THE Agriculture Protection Board introduced the first of its contract poisoning schemes in 1955 in the lower South-West when three units undertook the first "1080" poisoning for farmers in Western Australia.

The originators of one-shot baiting describe this new technique and explain how it should be used for best results on the farm.

Today there are seventeen and a half million people age 65 or over in the United States. This is nearly one-tenth of our population, and the number is estimated to be increasing by one thousand daily. There are already twenty-five million people age 60 or over, six million age 75 and over, and more than ten thousand over the age of 100. With increased study and research on various factors in the aging process and how they affect the health of elderly people, these figures may go even higher.

There is a strong tendency in current research on mammalian virus diseases to concentrate on virus activity at a cellular or subcellular level.
