Disease In Connection With Dentition, Lowell Meyer Jun 1930

Disease In Connection With Dentition, Lowell Meyer

Bachelors’ Theses

In order to appreciate fully the large field included in the word disease which might be included in this thesis, the word must first be defined. It is of French derivation, being coined from the two words, des or negative, plus aise or ease. Going further, Dorland’s medical dictionary further defines it as any departure from a state of health. More specifically it is a definite morbid process having a characteristic train of symptoms. It may effect the whole body and any of its parts, and its etiology, pathology, and prognosis may be known or unknown.

The Modern Trend Of Prosthetics, Arlo M. Rahrig Jun 1930

The Modern Trend Of Prosthetics, Arlo M. Rahrig

Bachelors’ Theses

This is a short discussion on the technique of denture construction which is being employed by the most prominent and successful prosthetists of today. Since it is annoying to have a technical investigation misinterpreted because of lack of uniformly applied terms, there is a necessity to annex concise definitions to the technique. Thus a strenuous effort will be made to closely adhere to the original meaning of standard terms and to modify these or add to them as little as possible when they are comprehensive. In the past it was customary to include into an articulator technique many bombastic theories …

The Relationship Of The Training School To The Hospital, Mary Leona Le Frois Jun 1927

The Relationship Of The Training School To The Hospital, Mary Leona Le Frois

Bachelors’ Theses

The treatment received by patients individually and collectively, determines the value of a hospital as a social and scientific institution. Since the primary function, then, is to care for the sick who come for relief and cure from disease, …

These Fifty Years: A History Of The College Of Agriculture Of The University Of Nebraska, R. P. Crawford Jan 1925

These Fifty Years: A History Of The College Of Agriculture Of The University Of Nebraska, R. P. Crawford

Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station: Historical Circulars

It seems especially appropriate at this time to publish a history of the College of Agriculture of the University of Nebraska. The year 1922 marked the fiftieth anniversary of the formal establishment of the college by the Board of Regents, while the year 1924 marked the fiftieth anniversary of the enrollment of the first students in agricultural subjects. It is hoped and intended that this little volume shall preserve for the future much valuable material that would otherwise soon be forgotten.
