Grounded in a case study in Barbuda in the Caribbean, this research examines sustainability from the perspective of what arts and heritage can contribute to community engagement and local and broader understandings about the environment. This article documents a growing body of literature recognizing the role of arts and culture, including local knowledge and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), in climate change endeavors. Art and TEK present expansive world views. Contextual information situates research done on the island of Barbuda pre- and post-Hurricane Irma. The competitive push for business schools to publish in prestigious journals has resulted in a disproportionate number of papers in prestigious Management and Operations Research/Management Science (OR/MS) journals coming from a select group of institutions. Our analysis shows the Matthew effect of prestigious journals favors established schools with 51.2% of papers in 18 Management ABS 4* journals and 61.3% of papers in 3 OR/MS ABS 4* journals involving authors from the 100 top business schools identified by the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Citation patterns are similarly concentrated among papers authored by scholars from UTD-listed business schools, with nearly …

The main argument regarding the ‘repair’ in reparative practices: University research is a social good, subjects are entitled to be included in knowledge production, and subjects ought to have fair access to epistemic goods.

Therefore, a subject’s being prevented from making a contribution to the pool of resources utilized to create knowledge is an injustice. Knowledge produced by an entity that excludes community participation is perspectival and incomplete.

This study explores how faculty across disciplines access and share scholarly serial content and what expectations they have for immediacy. The authors conducted twenty-five in-depth, semi-structured interviews with faculty of various ranks representing all Illinois State University (ISU) colleges. The findings, presented in the words of participants and triangulated with data from local sources, suggest that faculty use a variety of context-specific mechanisms to access and share serial literature. Background and Objectives: Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) increasingly impacts research and scholarly communication. Given the evolving application of ChatGPT and other AI tools in scholarly communications, health sciences librarians must become cognizant of any existing journal publishing guidelines for AI-created or assisted manuscripts. The study aims to examine how scholarly biomedical and health sciences journals and publishers respond to submissions of these manuscripts and what requirements or policies have been put in place to guide and instruct authors on AI use.

Educating tomorrow’s teachers is a complex and evolving process. !ey are preservice teachers in undergraduate programs, current teachers pursuing career advancement in master’s programs, and aspiring educational researchers in doctoral programs. Perhaps nowhere else on campus does information literacy instruction have more potential to affect generations of information users than when librarians educate the educators as education students will, in turn, impart information literacy skills to the students in their classrooms for many years.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) ลักษณะและสภาพการใช้เมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารที่ปรากฏอยู่ในระเบียนข้อมูลของคลังสถาบันในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย และ 2) ปัญหาในการใช้เมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารของบรรณารักษ์งานวิเคราะห์ทรัพยากรสารสนเทศ การวิจัยเป็นแบบเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้การสำรวจ (Survey Research) ประกอบด้วยการวิเคราะห์ระเบียนเมทาเดทาจำนวน 400 ระเบียนจากคลังสถาบัน 8 แห่ง และการเก็บข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามและการสัมภาษณ์บรรณารักษ์งานวิเคราะห์ทรัพยากรสารสนเทศจำนวน 22 คนจาก 15 สถาบัน เพื่อประมวลลักษณะการใช้เมทาเดทา ปัญหา และทักษะที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผลการศึกษา พบว่า เมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารด้านการจัดการสิทธิ์ และด้านเทคนิค ปรากฏในสัดส่วนสูงสุดในทุกคลังสถาบัน โดยข้อมูลผู้สร้าง ผู้มีส่วนร่วม ลิขสิทธิ์ รูปแบบไฟล์ และขนาดไฟล์ถูกบันทึกอย่างสม่ำเสมอ ขณะที่เมทาเดทาด้านการสงวนรักษา เช่น ประวัติการจัดทำระเบียน แหล่งที่มา และข้อมูลระยะเวลาการเก็บรักษา แม้จะปรากฏในระดับปานกลาง แต่ยังมีความไม่สม่ำเสมอระหว่างสถาบันอย่างชัดเจน นอกจากนี้ รูปแบบการบันทึกเมทาเดทามักรวมอยู่ในเขตข้อมูลเมทาเดทาเชิงพรรณนาและเชิงโครงสร้าง มากกว่าการแยกเป็นหมวดเฉพาะ ซึ่งสะท้อนข้อจำกัดทั้งด้านระบบและแนวปฏิบัติของบุคลากร ผลการวิเคราะห์ปัญหา พบว่า บรรณารักษ์ประสบปัญหาในระดับปานกลาง โดยประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่ การขาดการส่งเสริมจากหน่วยงานสังกัด การขาดความตระหนักรู้ต่อบทบาทของเมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารต่อการอนุรักษ์ข้อมูลระยะยาว และข้อจำกัดด้านระบบและทรัพยากร แม้บรรณารักษ์จะมีทักษะการอธิบายข้อมูลในระดับปานกลางค่อนไปทางสูง แต่ยังขาดมาตรฐานกลางร่วมกันของสถาบัน ข้อเสนอแนะสำคัญจากการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ การจัดทำมาตรฐานกลางด้านเมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารสำหรับคลังสถาบันไทย การยกระดับบทบาทเชิงนโยบายของผู้บริหาร การพัฒนาศักยภาพบรรณารักษ์ด้านการอนุรักษ์ดิจิทัล และการปรับปรุงระบบคลังสถาบันให้รองรับเมทาเดทาเชิงบริหารเชิงลึก เพื่อเสริมคุณภาพการจัดการทรัพยากรสารสนเทศระยะยาวอย่างยั่งยืน

Research on academic capitalism has critiqued the commodification of knowledge, but it has not critiqued assetization. The difference between commodification and assetization is more than a technical distinction. Extracting value from assets requires a different regime of coordination than what is required for extracting value from commodities. Through an analysis of 132 texts related to the online course review process at 16 research universities in the USA, I propose and problematize an online learning assetization regime which transforms discipline-based knowledge into digital content that can be owned, controlled, and managed as a university asset. Canadian communities are facing a crisis of inequity, and library service providers must do more to respond to the causal conditions of anti-Black and other forms of systemic racism (Black & Mehra, 2023). Beginning in 2022, the first known Canadian MLIS course, Anti-Racism in Library and Information Science, was piloted at Western University. It aimed to allow students to engage with transformative and collaborative anti-racism frameworks relevant to the Canadian library sector and MLIS curriculum. Research has shown that the school librarian occupies a unique and singular role in school settings. As such, their belief in their ability to master professional competencies is often self-referential and subject to negative influence from external organizational forces. This Mixed-Methods Action Research study explored the effect targeted institutional support for professional practice, via Peer-to-Peer Observation and Feedback cycles, has on perceptions of professional self-efficacy among the school librarians in one district.

Web accessibility has been a topic of discussion in organizations for decades. Much ink, physical and digital, has been spilled urging developers, designers, and web administrators to build their online environment so that users of all abilities can access their content. Despite this, web accessibility remains out of reach across swathes of the Internet. The organization WebAIM conducts annual studies reviewing the accessibility of the 1,000,000 most popular websites’ homepages.1 The results for 2025 found that these pages had an average of 51 errors per page. This article explores the unique instructional leadership opportunities for school librarians in U.S. public schools that lack other specialist educators, such as technology specialists, instructional specialists, and instructional coaches. Drawing on data from the 2020–21 National Teacher and Principal Survey (NTPS), the study highlights the prevalence of schools with librarians operating without full-time or part-time technology specialists, subject-specific instructional specialists, or instructional coaches. The absence of these roles often places librarians in a central position to support both students and teachers in areas such as literacy development, STEM education, and technology integration. This paper is about The Feminist Digital Center (FDC). We begin by briefly theoretically situating our project in discussions of feminist and open pedagogy, high impact practices, and digital scholarship. Next, we discuss how the FDC came to be, institutionally and digitally, with particular emphasis on the assignments students did to fill the site. We close with why the site matters. We hope readers will attempt some version of this project at your institutions and find value in the model we share.

[Purpose/significance]There are many relationships between method entities and application scenarios, problems,organizations and other entities. Extracting these entity relationships helps to capture the development trend of technology and promote the improvement of innovation ability.[Method/process]This paper discusses a method for extracting method entities and relations based on automatically generated syntactic templates. By designing a new adaptive template, the method improves flexibility and adaptability, reducing dependence on large-scale labeled data. Using a small number of seed triples, the method iteratively generates syntactic templates and extracts method entities and relations for the CSDN artificial intelligence topic blog.
