10 Reasons Why The Internet Is No Substitute For A Library, Mark Y. Herring

Dacus Library Faculty Publications

In an effort to save our culture, strike a blow for reading, and, above all, correct the well-intentioned but horribly misguided notions about what is fast becoming Intertopia among many nonlibrarian bean counters, here are 10 reasons why the Internet is no substitute for a library.

Teaching Information Literacy In 50 Minutes A Week: The Crush Experience, Judith Faust Apr 2001

Through extensive study of college campus culture and student needs, many institutions are changing long-standing protocols and adding a technology rich, user friendly …

Faculty And Student Attitudes Toward Credit Courses For Library Skills, Jeanne R. Davidson Mar 2001

Faculty And Student Attitudes Toward Credit Courses For Library Skills, Jeanne R. Davidson

To be successful, the courses must be well marketed to both faculty and students, and their importance and content must be clearly understood by faculty advisors.
