Missouri Child Support Guidelines, Jennifer Clifton Ferguson

Missouri Law Review

The Child Support Enforcement Amendments of 1984' and the Family Support Act of 1988, are designed to improve the adequacy, consistency, and collectability of child support awards. These two laws require states to develop specific guidelines providing a numerical formula for the determination of child support award amounts' and require that the guidelines be presumptive. Following the federal mandate, the Missouri Supreme Court enacted child support guidelines which have been mandatory since April 1, 1990.

This review examines Laurence Tribe's book on abortion, focusing special attention on Tribe's discussion of compromises to the abortion dilemma and his own apparent resolution of the issue. Following an evaluation of Tribe's work, this review considers other possible compromises to the abortion dilemma which are suggested by the United States Constitution.

This United States (US) public law (Public Law 102-575), passed on October 30, 1992, also known as the “Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992” contains a number of acts providing additional appropriations for various reclamation projects in the United States.
