On March 17 the Colby Community Symphony Orchestra celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary with a commemorative concert under conductor Ermanno F. Comparetti. The occasion also marked Dr. Comparetti's quarter-century as professor of music and head of the music department at the college. With the orchestral works by Haydn, Sanders and Mascagni, and operatic arias – sung by soprano Luz Morales – by Mozart, Verdi and Puccini, the sixty-two member orchestra premiered its mentor's Italian folksong cycle:

The purpose of this study was to assist in the evaluation of the social studies by identifying concepts, concept clusters, and objectives.
