Ernest Miller Hemingway : Dimensions Of Death, Bruce R. Mcdonald
Honors Theses
The life and works of Ernest Miller Hemingway resemble the views of the people of Castile, Spain in many ways. From an early age, Hemingway took an "intelligent interest" in the concept of death. It was an interest that was to grow to encompass almost every aspect of his sixty year life and his literary career. For Hemingway, death was an essential component in his existence as well as a necessary consequence of living in our world. Hemingway's exploration of the notion of death gave meaning and security to his being. For Hemingway, death eventually became an all consuming obsession …
Susan Glaspell: Feminist Playwright, Anna Katherine Wiley
Susan Glaspell: Feminist Playwright, Anna Katherine Wiley
Masters Theses and Doctoral Dissertations
Susan Glaspell, a "new woman" of the second decade of the twentieth century in America, left a valuable legacy for the feminists who would follow her. Her life and writings are examples of what women are capable of doing when given the opportunity. In both she sought to prove that women could participate in life fully--and on their own terms. A woman should not only expect Virginia Woolfs "room of her own," but should be allowed to use a mind of her own.

Treasurer's Report- A.G.M.
The George Eliot Review Online, ISSN: 2831-5375
I agreed to take over the post of Treasurer to the George Eliot Fellowship two years ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and I have learned a great deal about the art of book-keeping.
However, my commitments at school, in an ever changing world of education, are such that I felt that I must hand over the treasurer's position to someone who, hopefully, has a little more time to look after your accounts.
You will see from the Statement of Income and Expenditure that the finances of the Fellowship are in a satisfactory position.
