Abstract: This qualitative case study described the steps 11 African American women have practiced in growing and continuing their path to notable success in higher education leadership. No one size will fit all, but the methods used by African American women may guide other African American or culturally diverse women on how to transcend into and ascertain the well-deserved leadership roles in higher education administration or faculty careers. Special education teacher attrition is an ongoing area of concern across the US. One factor that influences special educator attrition and retention is administrative support. Unfortunately, administrators often enter school leadership positions with little or no background in special education, thus making it difficult to provide the much-needed support. This practitioner piece provides information and resources for school-based administrators to use to support special education teachers and students within their schools.

Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to identify and describe how California Community College senior-level leaders of color are culturally responsive in their leadership strategies, based on Horsford, Grosland, and Gunn’s (2011) culturally relevant leadership framework.

Methodology: This qualitative ethnographic study identified and described the culturally responsive leadership practices utilized by 15 senior-level leaders of color within California Community Colleges and explored how their lived experiences and identities influence their ability to lead their institutions using the four dimensions of Horsford et al.’s (2011) culturally relevant leadership framework: political context, personal journey, pedagogical approach, and professional duty. …

Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to identify and describe how exemplary directors of special education use the five principles associated with grit (courage, conscientiousness, long-term goals, resilience, and excellence versus perfection) to accomplish extraordinary results in their organizations.

Methodology: This qualitative study was part of a larger thematic research study conducted by nine peer researchers under the guidance of three University of Massachusetts Global faculty chairs. The coronavirus pandemic has affected all walks of life across the globe. Higher education institutions confronted multiple challenges and disruptions in teaching and learning. However, the challenges hospitality education administrators need to resolve are distinct compared to other traditional higher education programs. This study aimed to understand the experiences and responses of hospitality educational administrators under crisis. The findings of the study are expected to assist hospitality education institutions to be prepared and respond better to any crisis in the future. Unfortunately, the school paradigm is not constructed to address the glaring social/emotional conditions affecting millions of children (Anderson-Butcher et al., 2017). Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) menjadi acuan yang digunakan untuk menentukan kategori komposisi berat badan. Pengukuran IMT juga berkaitan dengan status gizi yang mempengaruhi kesehatan seseorang. Pada anak-anak yang memiliki berat badan berlebihan, lengkung kaki cenderung datar (flatfoot) karena beban yang ditumpu tubuh lebih besar, sehingga dapat menyebabkan diantaranya nyeri, cedera, gangguan berjalan, dan ketidakseimbangan ketika berdiri lama. Rekam medis adalah berkas yang berisikan catatan dan dokumen tentang identitas pasien, pemeriksaan, pengobatan, tindakan dan pelayanan lain yang telah diberikan kepada pasien. Rekam medis merupakan bagian dari arsip sesuai dengan definisi arsip yang mengacu pada Undang-undang No. 43 Tentang Kearsipan sehingga kegiatan penyusutan akan mendukung proses pengelolaan rekam medis secara efisien. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu dengan menggunakan data primer untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang minat dan jenis pelatihan yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dan menggunakan metode wawancara untuk mendapatkan data tentang infrasinfratruktur serta media yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran/pelatihan jarak jauh di Program Pendidikan Vokasi UI. Data penelitian yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner dianálisis dengan analisis deskriptif.
