Fact Books

I am proud to introduce the eighth annual Southwestern Oklahoma State University Fact Book. It provides a ready source of information to answer frequently asked questions about the University and its operations. Unless otherwise noted, the information in this Fact Book came from computer-generated reports that are printed following the tenth class day of each fall semester. Because of student fluctuations during the semester, numbers will not match other published enrollment numbers that may be based on enrollment at the end of a semester.

Regional Safe Schools Programs In The State Of Illinois, Michael R. Metzen Jan 1999

Regional Safe Schools Programs In The State Of Illinois, Michael R. Metzen

Masters Theses

Alternative educational programs have been in existence for decades in the public school community. They were designed to meet the special needs of students, either for the benefit of the student or the educational atmosphere of their previous program. Many of these programs have been a component of the local district, serving students within that particular district. In 1995, the Illinois General Assembly created a program for disruptive youth. The intent of that program was two-fold in nature. That program, called the Regional Safe Schools Program, was created to serve disruptive youth for their educational benefit, as well as voiding …

A Comparison Of Teacher-Directed Versus Self-Directed Learning Preferences Of Students At Five Selected Community Colleges: Exploring The Relationships Among Age, Gender, And Academic Majors, Huiming Wang May 1998

A Comparison Of Teacher-Directed Versus Self-Directed Learning Preferences Of Students At Five Selected Community Colleges: Exploring The Relationships Among Age, Gender, And Academic Majors, Huiming Wang

Electronic Theses and Dissertations

One of the major priorities for community colleges is to focus on the pedagogical tools that will allow students to achieve excellence and quality in curriculum and instruction to meet the changing societal needs (Shearon & Tollefson, 1989).
