Teaching Shakespeare In The 21st Century: A Guide For Secondary Educators, Deborah Heilmer
Regis University Student Publications (comprehensive collection)
This project explains how the integration of innovative methods for teaching Shakespeare's works, and the works of other canonical authors, can increase motivation and achievement among 21st century students in the secondary classroom. It provides a rationale for the continued use of Shakespeare's works as part of the secondary curriculum, as well as an overview of common problems associated with teaching Shakespeare today. Issues addressed include cross generational, sociocultural translation and modern-day relevance, as well as assessment authenticity. The project consists of a research paper and unit guide constructed for the purpose of bridging the gap that often exists between …
Interdisciplinary Instruction In American Colleges Of Education: Rhetoric Or Reality?, G Boyd Chitwood
Interdisciplinary Instruction In American Colleges Of Education: Rhetoric Or Reality?, G Boyd Chitwood
Theses and Dissertations
This study explores the status of training for interdisciplinary instruction of K-12 teachers in NCATE-accredited teacher education programs in the United States. Further, program leader beliefs about interdisciplinary instruction were surveyed, and consistency of those beliefs with the actual conduct of their programs was studied. Interdisciplinary instruction has received significant positive mention over the last 80 years with waves of increasing interest identified up to the present. Support for this pedagogy has come from claims about effectiveness, teacher efficacy, nature of human learning and increased complexity in the contemporary world. Studies are lacking, however, on models for and prevalence of …

Conflict In Business Organization: Ingredient For Organizational Development, Samson Adebisi, Felicia Olaniyi-Adegun
Conflict In Business Organization: Ingredient For Organizational Development, Samson Adebisi, Felicia Olaniyi-Adegun
Academic Leadership: The Online Journal (2003-2012)
There is a popular assumption that conflict is so destructive that the goal of good management should be to minimize friction. According to Robert and Judy (2002), the Conflict-Positive Organization takes the opposite position and presents the argument that conflict, when well managed, adds substantial value to the organization.
