This autobiography details Sanger’s early childhood, admission to college, early career, and presidency of MCV. Through Sanger’s recollections, As I Remember serves both as a personal memoir and a history of MCV and medical education in Virginia.

"Training in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering is offered in South Vietnam by the School of Mechanical Engineering, one of four engineering schools and a Merchant Marine School composing the National Technical Center located presently in the Phu Tho region of Saigon, South Vietnam. The school was established in 1956 for the training of engineers, for mechanical and industrial activities. It became part of the National Technical Center, established by Decree No. 213-Gd by the President of the Republic of Vietnam on June 29, 1957 and graduated the first class of 20 in the summer of 1960. The problem that was considered in the study was whether the role of the science supervisor was perceived differently by secondary and elementary teachers of science.

A fifty-four item questionnaire was developed. The items on the questionnaire consisted of statements of tasks which a science supervisor could do, and the teachers were asked to respond on a scale of opinion if they considered this task a role of the science supervisor.

The sample represented five school systems in Iowa which employ a science supervisor. Questionnaires were sent to 156 secondary science teachers and 153 elementary teachers. Ninety-five of all the …

After relative inactivity in Southern letters, there occurred what is called. the Southern Literary Renaissance. Critics have since tried to account for it. One effort is the attempt to identify basic themes in the works. One persistent theme is that of religious or moral conflict, involving a stern Calvinism and a pervasive sense of guilt. Noticed too is the element of paradox as an outstanding characteristic of the South a.nd of the Southern character. w. J. In an effort to offer an effective preparation program for prospective teachers, the institution rrrust first analyze its present status--"What are we now doing?" Such an assessment, a point of reference, is necessary before speculations about modifications can be put into action. The problem undertaken in this study was to ascertain the status of the 1969 teacher education graduates from Central Washington State College in regard to their major field of preparation and subsequent placerrent within, or outside that field of preparation.
