Constance Mellon formally identified library anxiety in the mid-1980s. Library anxiety can result in students avoiding the library, its resources, and its staff. Students with library anxiety perform worse on academic tasks than their more comfortable peers. Library anxiety causes procrastination on assignments and undermines academic success. Technology anxiety has evolved with library anxiety changing as new information technology becomes available. This exploratory research investigated to what extent library and technology anxiety manifests among sophomore students, the relationship between library anxiety and technology anxiety, and the perception of online services at Maple Bluff and Scarlett Woods High Schools. The study aimed to identify the level of online self-presentation and its relationship to the level of exposure to cyber-harassment among a sample of the University of Jordan students consisting of (385) male and female bachelor's students from the Faculty of Arts. The questionnaires that are built for the level of online self-presentation and level of exposure to cyber-harassment were constructed and evaluated for their validity and reliability. This study aimed to explore gender role depictions in children's Arabic picture books. The importance of this study emerged from its focus on young children, where the concept of gender begins to be constructed. This study provided insight into the nature of gender roles in children’s picture books, especially under the remarkable changes that Saudi society is witnessing and the lack of Arab studies in this area. Social cognitive theory, gender schema theory, and critical literacy pedagogy guided the study. هدف المقال الكشف عن درجة إدارة الأزمات التربوية وعلاقتها بالإدارة الاستراتيجية لدى أُمناء اللوازم بالمدارس، وتكوَّنت عينة الدراسة من (70) من أُمناء اللوازم بالمدارس بلواء القويرة منطقة بدبة حانوت، وتوصَّلت الدراسة إلى أنَّ نسبة مستوى إدارة الأزمات الخاصة بطلبة المدارس لدى أُمناء اللوازم بالمدارس بلغت (82.3%) وهو مستوى عالٍ، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة أنَّ نسبة مستوى الإدارة الاستراتيجية لدى أُمناء اللوازم بالمدارس بلغت (83.4%) وهو مستوى عالٍ، وتوصلت إلى أنه توجد علاقة إيجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية في إدارة الأزمات التربوية والإدارة الاستراتيجية لدى أُمناء اللوازم بالمدارس، كما وتوصَّلت الدراسة إلى أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في إدارة الأزمات …

هدفت المقال الكشف عن مدى مطابقة مقياس متعدد الأبعاد لرضا الطلبة عن الحياة الجامعية باستخدام نموذج الاستجابة المتدرجة لنظرية الاستجابة للفقرة. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، ووزع المقياس على عينة مكونة من (781) طالبًا وطالبةً من مجتمع الدراسة، اختيروا بالطريقة المتيسرة من مختلف الكليات العلمية والإنسانية في الجامعات الحكومية الأردنية في شمال المملكة، استبعد منهم 81 طالباً وطالبة إما لعدم اكتمال استجاباتهم على فقرات الاستبانة أو لنمطية الاستجابة، أظهرت نتائج التحليل العاملي الاستكشافي لأبعاد المقياس تحقق افتراض أحادية البعد لكل بعد من أبعاد المقياس الأربعة، كما تم التحقق من افتراض الاستقلال الموضعي، وتم التحقق من افتراض مطابقة الأفراد …

Although teacher burnout has been experienced for decades, teachers faced additional stressors with the onset of COVID-19. Teachers faced newfound stressors due to lockdowns and restrictions on gathering face-to-face and instruction becoming virtual. Even the youngest students (kindergarten to fifth grade) had to be taught according to the virtual learning mandates. As a result, primary school teachers began to experience burnout differently. This research examines Arabic education in the United States at the undergraduate level, highlighting the question: How do forces such as Orientalism, globalization, and neoliberalism affect the way that the Arabic language is taught and recognized in the United States? The purpose of the study was to identify the training needs of public schools principals in Al-Mafraq governorate in light of the wise governance requirements. The current study aimed to identify the mean effect size of the alpha coefficient for the overall reliability of the MBI scale, and for the sub-dimensions; Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of personal achievement through the analysis of (32) studies in which the inclusion criteria were met. The results of the research indicated that the mean alpha coefficient across the studies (n = 32) for overall reliability and dimensions; Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of personal achievement were 0.83, 0.83, 0.78, and 0.77, respectively. Research in the field of language teaching and learning reveals that mnemonics is one of the most effective language learning strategies for vocabulary. Researchers like Rasiban, et al. (2019); Levin (1993); Zulfa (2019); Kayaaltu (2018) suggest that using mnemonics to learn new vocabulary has a positive effect on vocabulary retention and retrieval. This study investigates the effect of a Function-Based Instructional (FBI) program on critical reading skill for a group of adult learners of Arabic at Al al-Bayt University in Jordan. The researchers proposed an FBI program and built up a pre-posttest of 12 multiple-choice items to measure the levels of critical reading for the learners. This study's goal was to find the extent of ethical leadership practiced by the heads of academic departments at Hebron University from their standpoint. The extent of ethical leadership practices was tested according to gender, qualification, specialization, and years of experience. The present study explores the realization of speech acts in 80 Egyptian billboard advertisements from five different locations in Greater Cairo, in an attempt to identify the most dominant types of speech acts utilized in such billboard advertising. Further examination of the linguistic elements in advertisements is conducted to identify the most salient syntactic structures constructing them. The study starts with a quantitative approach and ends with a qualitative content analysis based on framework of Searle’s (1969) Speech Act Theory. This becomes a challenge that negatively impacts their overall learning process. This paper explores the influence of one salience feature - bolded keywords - over reading speed and comprehension amongst Heritage+ Learners of Arabic. Heritage+ refers to Arabs living in the Arab world, but who have minimum exposure to the language. The article aimed to construct criterion-referenced in the psychometric subject based on item response theory. The sample consisted of (121) participants (54 male & 67 female) selected from the Department of Psychology at Isra University (Jordan) during the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022. The criterion-referenced test consisted of (36) items following a multiple-choice shape in which each item has 4 options. The results showed the assumptions of items response theory in the study data and matched the responses to (34) items. In 2019, Algeria witnessed the emergence of the Hirak mass movement: a pro-democracy uprising marked by epic nationwide demonstrations and trans-formative public dialogue. Hundreds of thousands of Algerians mobilized to protest social injustices and political corruption, educate each other about their common rights, and articulate their collective goals.
