Blockprint was a student magazine published throughout the 1950s-60s. The November 4, 1968 issue contains only advertisements, a brief events calendar, and an editorial from Blockprint Editor-In-Chief Roy Furman complaining that due to the Student Council reducing funding for Blockprint, they would no longer be able to afford to put out a regular length newspaper. This may be the final issue of Blockprint ever printed.

The Huntsville Literary Association was founded in 1967 to provide a community for writers, readers, and artists through workshops, readings, and educational programs. One of their key contributions is the literary magazine titled POEM which showcases original writings from both established and emerging writers. This issue highlights the work of Marion Montgomery as well as features a photo of Kay Boyle, an American writer, on the front cover.

Edgar Allan Poe wrote forty-three critical reviews of novels during the period 1_835 to 1848 that he was associated with the various literary journals in the East. And, although his best known critical works concern themselves with the tale and with poetry, his statements regarding the novel are of sufficient quantity to merit scholarly research. Yet investigation of the major bibliographic sources reveals this to be not at all the case.
